Meet Kazuya Kimura of Kazuya Kimura Photography in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kazuya Kimura.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
When I was 11 years old, I learned in my science class that blueprints could reproduce the original images by having photographic papers exposed to the light. It was a stunning new discovery to me, and it blew my mind. Since then, I became very fascinated in photography, and asked my parents to get me a SLR for my 12th birthday. I’ve been photo shooting for 40 years now, and I still think photography is fun, and I still have the same passion toward photography as I had 40 years ago. My first job as a photographer was photographing my friend’s wedding. A satisfied customer who liked my artwork referred me another customer, and then I gradually started working with more clients. I feel fulfilled in my job when I see my clients are happy with my artwork.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’ve been doing what I love. Of course, there were some ups & downs at times, but I always feel fortunate in my career. I have worked with amazing talented people. It is always a pleasure to meet new clients, and every photo project is a great learning opportunity for me. Learning is a lifelong process.

Please tell us about Kazuya Kimura Photography.
I shoot any types of photos, but I focus mainly on wedding photography these days. I enjoy just being at weddings to witness the highlights of my clients’ life, and capture the best, unforgettable moments of happiness, joy and love for them. I enjoy dealing with people, and make them smile & happy through my camera. Not only wedding photography, but I also photograph commercial & advertising photos like products, foods and fashion. I photograph portraiture such as babies, kids, couples, families & pets, and any events from fundraisers to sports as well. I have a photo booth, and I can print photos up to size 6 x 8 on site. It is a nice touch to any events. I think that photography is all about light. I know how to control the available light and create light when needed to capture the most beautiful images. I can create the light, and take artistic photos professionally literally anywhere.
