Today we’d like to introduce you to Katherine Shadley.

Katherine, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The inspiration for Grande Maison’s first location in Beverly Hills was the Belgium-based luxury textile merchant La Grande Maison de Blanc. Translating to “The Great House of White” for its 1800’s sun-bleached façade and plethora of lightly tinted garments, the turn-of-the-century department store catered to the chic clientele of Brussels, Paris, New York City, and later to the West Coast.

Inspired by the rich history of La Grande Maison de Blanc, founder Tim O’Hearn resurrected this sentiment to Beverly Hills. Newly relocated in West Hollywood’s design district, Grande Maison continues to feature the world’s finest and most sought-after names in bedding and bath linens, distinctive goods, and lavish gifts.

As you can imagine, in an age of mass-production, there are many options for people to fill their bed and bath linen needs. Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I grew up in Jackson Hole Wyoming, I remember fondly how we use to go on long hikes and adventures. There was always beautiful scenery and wildlife.
