Meet Jared Stanfield and Josh Westover of Bar 10 in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared Stanfield and Josh Westover.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Originally all three of us, Dan Camaratta (Owner), Josh, and I, Jared, all hail from NY. All of us worked in Night Life in Manhattan, Dan opening and ran Industry Bar in Hells Kitchen, Josh ran Hero Night Club in the meet packing, and I bartended at Industry Bar in Hells Kitchen and Barracuda in Chelsea. NY really had a huge impact on us and all of us have a huge love and respect for night life. The vibe, energy and community of NY is Bar 10.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
What would life be without challenges? Dull and Boring. Most certainly there have been huge challenges. Particularly Bar 10 becoming what it is today. We started off as an American Steak house that served rare cuts of meat. Unfortunately, West Hollywood wasn’t ready for this sort of fare and we closed after 5 months. Dan Camaratta rebranded the space and that’s when it became Bar 10. Since then, he has focused on what he knows best and that’s entertainment and inclusivity.

Everyone is welcomed and everyone is going to have a good time. We are a community bar.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Bar 10 – what should we know?
What sets us apart is that we understand family and community. Everyone is welcomed. Trans, Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Queer and straight. Once a month, we have a brunch called Lez Do Brunch, drag show on Thursday that also host a Transwoman show once a month, singing competitions where we give out 5000 and a Game night on Wednesday with an 80’s theme. New Year’s Eve, we gave an hour of free champagne. We love our community and we love the people that support us and that shows.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Dan Camaratta. He has shown Josh and me considerable support in all of our endeavors. He has been an amazing friend, mentor and partner. Also, the staff of Bar 10 are like family. Many have been here since its rebranding and continuing to be integral to the operations of the Bar. Bar 10 is a Family.
