Meet Izzi Ray

Today we’d like to introduce you to Izzi Ray.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was born in Southern California into a very musical family and we moved to Montana when I was 10. I began playing guitar and writing songs soon after the move and my own unique musical style began to development during my time there. Now, at 22, I recently moved back to Orange County to pursue music as a career with the goal of continued growth as an artist and musician and to use my songs to inspire and unite people through music. I want to be a sponge and a bulldozer. Absorbing wisdom and beauty and breaking down the walls of the stereotypical.

Please tell us about your art.
I am a songwriter, first and foremost, and I am a singer and a musician.

I’ve always written deeply personal songs because I believe in the value of sharing your story and the power of relating to it. There is so much comfort and inspiration that can come from resonating with the emotions and experiences of others.

Writing is incredibly therapeutic, it’s my way of processing life. I hope that when people hear my records or come to a show, they feel that deep connection to the beauties and hardships of real life and feel a renewed sense of strength in their lives.

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
My dad instilled a mindset in my brother and I, early on that if we hit a roadblock, set your mind to discovering and learning a way to move past it and continue on. Never let a lack of knowledge or solution prevent you from pursuing something you care about.

I wish I would have learned that it takes years and years to build a successful and healthy career. Nothing happens overnight. I’m currently learning that it takes a lot of hard work and commitment, but a slow burn is worth it in the end.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My most recent album titled “LIMINALITY” is available on all streaming services, and all three of my albums are available in physical copies through my website!

Purchasing music is a wonderful way to support artists you believe in! Coming to our live shows is a fantastic help, as well as spreading the love and sharing your favorite artists with your friends!
