Meet Gina Cloud

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Cloud.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Gina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up, I had a very sexist father who used to suggest often that girls/women were inferior in many ways, and I found myself naturally debating him, constantly. So there was a sense of awareness of women’s power at an early age. Then when I got my first period at 14, I was like, “Wow, this is amazing, this being a woman thing.” As I got into my 20s, there was this constant voice inside me urging me to teach women (and men) my way of viewing life as a woman, inside a woman’s body as a positive, power-full place and life path. I noticed that how I was living and being as a woman, really listening to my inner wisdom and seeing my female rhythms as a kind of GPS, was so different than what other women were living, and I was inspired and driven to begin to teach. After my daughter was born in 1995, she became the ultimate catalyst to start my business of empowering women.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No way has it been a smooth road. Teaching something as life-altering as what I do is fraught with challenges. Among them was being way ahead of my path, truly revolutionary in my thinking and my ideas. Trying to stay true to my own vision and voice still is, in a world that seeks conformity around success. But with the Me-Too movement and a film on periods winning an Oscar, my time has finally come. Even though all the women I’ve worked with fully embraced my teachings, it was still an under-the-radar thing in the self-help world. Also, growing this business while being a single mom was a challenge, along with other life events; but this is my dharma, and it just has never let me get away from it.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
In a nutshell, I help women strip down to their bare authentic essence, using the female body as the ultimate wisdom teacher and GPS (Goddess Power Source). I specialize in a kind of waking up of women (and men) to how biological, sociological, and personal programming and stereotypes are keeping women disempowered. I’m known for telling it like it is in a raw, real way, opening doors on subjects that I believe no one else is discussing in the way that I am. I feel this kind of honest, authentic expression from deep within my own life that I share within the confines of my work is what draws people to me and allows me to ultimately help so many women step into their own authentic lives, to stop exploiting their bodies and sexuality and to awaken the power that I believe lies dormant in all women.

This power is a natural power that’s been a part of our repression via the centuries-old Patriarchial system that’s being dismantled before our eyes now. Note to men reading this, “patriarchy” is not men! It’s a social structure. There are many men who are part of this movement to end it as well. I”m also really good at helping to bridge the communication gaps between men and women, helping each understand the other’s way of thinking, and love teaching this topic via corporate meetings and functions.

What role has luck played in your life and business?
There’s an expression that luck is simply preparation meeting opportunity. In that sense, I’m very lucky because I’m always prepared for opportunities that find me.
