Meet Eleonore Clavero of East Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eleonore Clavero

Hi Eleonore, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Paris with both French and Spanish roots, I spent the first 17 years of my life attending an international school. After earning a Bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2019, I began my career in the professional services industry in London. Starting as an associate, I eventually became a manager, leading a team and overseeing several client accounts. My three and a half years at AlphaSights were a transformative period, equipping me with a wide array of skills, such as prioritization, time management, communication, negotiation (even with C-level executives), leadership, goal-setting, critical thinking, problem-solving, and process optimization. These experiences shaped me profoundly, and I remain deeply grateful for my time there.

After some time, I realized I wanted to explore a different path and took several months to travel across Australia and Southeast Asia. This journey offered the perfect opportunity to reflect on my personal and professional growth, as well as where I wanted to go next, all while immersing myself in new cultures and meeting incredible people. These experiences opened my eyes to the countless ways life can be lived and showed me that success isn’t confined to the traditional corporate path I had grown up expecting to follow.

I returned to Paris for a friend’s wedding and took some time to decide on my next move. That’s when I discovered LoveSetMatch and had my first conversation with coach and founder Phillip Kim. Having always been passionate about tennis, volunteering with LSM felt like a natural fit. Beyond my love for the sport, I was drawn to their mission of supporting underprivileged children by giving them access to education they might not otherwise receive. If I had unlimited resources, I’d dedicate my efforts to creating sports community centers for underprivileged youth—safe spaces where they could learn not only key values like respect, discipline, and resilience but also life-changing lessons through sports.

This passion marked the beginning of my journey with LoveSetMatch. Today, I primarily assist with fundraising efforts and collaborate with Phillip on strategy and presentations to support the organization, even from Europe while they are based in Los Angeles.

Currently, I work for a sports association that brings together the majority of France’s sports startups. My role involves helping these startups grow economically by launching initiatives across various topics and amplifying their voices with key institutions.

I’m thrilled to be part of the sports industry and continuously seek new opportunities to challenge myself, channel my energy, and contribute to projects that create meaningful value for society.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. But it’s been a fun, bumpy ride.

First, my dream was to study in the US, but I ended up studying in the UK instead.

Second, I was certain I’d found my life’s calling after finishing my bachelor’s degree, yet I still have no idea what tomorrow holds for me.

Third, throughout my various work experiences, I’ve faced multiple challenges that pushed me to rethink and adjust my expectations—whether about a role, a company, or colleagues.

Lastly, life is full of bumps and struggles, but I firmly believe they happen for a reason. These challenges aren’t obstacles; they’re part of the journey and essential steps toward success.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work as a project manager, supporting sports startups in their growth and development. This includes everything from building partnerships and fundraising to marketing, communication, events, and even data analysis—whatever it takes to help them succeed.

Throughout my career, I’ve been known for my perseverance, attention to detail while maintaining a big-picture perspective, efficiency, and problem-solving abilities. One of my key strengths is creating and optimizing processes to help companies operate more effectively.

What I’m most proud of is the combination of my diverse skill set and my approach to work. I strive for efficiency and excellence in everything I do, but I’m equally dedicated to being human and caring in my interactions. I believe this balance—between being highly driven and genuinely invested in others—is what truly sets me apart. It’s not just about delivering results; it’s about doing so in a way that creates lasting value for people and the projects I’m involved in.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What truly matters to me is fulfillment and moments of happiness—the kind of happiness that comes from excellence, pleasure, and gratitude, as beautifully described in 101 Essays That Will Change the Way You Think.

Professionally, this means finding fulfillment in achieving success through impactful initiatives and meaningful accomplishments. Personally, my fulfillment comes from seeing others happy. Their joy and satisfaction bring me a deep sense of purpose and connection, reminding me of the importance of contributing positively to the lives of those around me.
