Meet Donald and Andrea Bailey of Bailey Photography in San Bernardino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Donald and Andrea Bailey.

Donald and Andrea, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Bailey Photography is a Family owned and operated business. My wife Andrea Bailey is the Chief Photographer and the passion for the art burns deep within her soul. She has been doing photography since high school (yearbook etc..), she also worked at picture people and eventually managed picture people and Lee’s Photo Studio. She’s done countless weddings, sports events, corporate events and even more in studio shoots. Me, I’m the IT Guy literally. I bring the technological vision to the equation.

Has it been a smooth road?
There’s been a ton of obstacles from the construction nightmare of contractors ripping us off left and right to the pitfalls of non-caring employees destroying the brand with their lackadaisical approach to everything. There were times when I wanted to give up but she wouldn’t let me. I remember one time I was so frustrated after reading a bad review a customer left due to an employee I wanted to let go a long time before, I said let’s close it down. She looked at me with a face of disgust and asked me where was my FAITH. I pulled myself together and grinded harder. Of course, FAITH paid off big time as usual, it always does.

Our convenient studio location features the latest in digital photography technology and a professional lighting system. With an array of scenic and full-color backgrounds, you and your family will find everything you need to capture perfect portraits-and that’s priceless. Our full-service studio offers a wide variety of portrait services, including newborn photos, graduation portraits, wedding photography, family photos, and more. We even have photo booth service. No matter what occasion you and your family are celebrating, we took a different approach when we renovated the studio and went all out for our clients. We had two choices, 1. Barely do anything and just make what we could make or 2. make it as nice as we would our home and create a comfortable atmosphere that people will feel comfortable in. We chose the latter and at times it’s rough but we love seeing the joy on faces when the end product is picked up. What set’s us apart is that we are family owned and operated and we actually care about our clients.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
At first, I was against it because I didn’t have the vision my wife did. I thought the area would be a mistake to invest so much into with all the renovation and technology upgrades. My wife was hell bent about putting something nice in the area. She grew up here and wanted to be a blessing to the community in whatever way possible. I would recommend them to start out here and think of the clients and the community, not statistics and data.
