Meet Denise Fernander of MOMPreneur Success Academy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Fernander.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a mom, business strategy/accountability coach, podcaster and the founder of MOMpreneur Success Academy. I want to get other moms, entrepreneurs get to profitable in as little as 90 days!

I’m a former classroom teacher, online teacher, curriculum & instructional designer. I have also worked as a business & educational consultant for over 20 years.

Eleven years ago, I was burning the candle at both ends. I was a wife, mom, working full-time, had a home business I was trying to grow and everything else in between. In other words, I was stressed out, exhausted, sick, mentally foggy, and nearly dead!

One of my doctors said he didn’t expect that I’d survive another 12 months after meeting him. I was diagnosed with a rare disease called scleroderma, pulmonary fibrosis and a myriad of other auto-immune disorders.

Needless to say, I was also STRUGGLING to get clear about my business and about my life. Young, married with a beautiful eight years old son and 17 years old stepson, I knew I needed to hit the refresh button on my life. There was NO way this was going to be it for me.

You see not only did I WANT to live, I DESPERATELY wanted to encourage my son’s interest in becoming an entrepreneur as an example of SUCCESS. Both my mother and father were business owners and their parents before them. I knew I had to figure this out even if only to carry the legacy forward.

Although getting to where I am has been work, I’ve made it past what was and am living a much healthier, happier, and more peaceful life and want to help others attain their brand of success in business and life as well! It’s my passion and my purpose and I have a roadmap that WORKS!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth road? Not! I’ve regained control of my health, divorced, figured out how to be a single mom on a teaching salary, gone back to school, started a business while still working full-time as a teacher, taking a leap and gone into full-time as an entrepreneur and business owner, fallen flat on my face and had to figure it out many times over. OMG! But, if I had it to do over I’d still be an entrepreneur/business owner.

As an entrepreneur/business owner we are constantly faced with decisions and determining what’s best for our business in the short and long term. There are definitely basics that we MUST have in order to succeed. We’ve got to have a clear vision and passion for our business. We also have to be willing to learn and willing to take risks. We’ve got to overcome the struggles of managing our time, learn how to delegate and how to establish and consistently strengthen a strong team in our life and business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We equip moms who are online coaches with the knowledge, tools & resources to create clear messaging and go to marketing plans so that they can start making money now!

My team and I bring as much as 20 years plus experience in business, coaching, marketing, continent creation and curriculum design and relationship-building. All of this experience allows us to help clients hone in on their passion, EXACTLY what their community wants and needs and help them build and grow a successful and sustainable online business. Those are our greatest assets!

Pair those with our passion for encouraging, motivating, and inspiring moms to get unstuck and you get moms who are living their best lives and are consistently making money they want and need!

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Although I have worked hard to get where I am, luck and timing has played a great part in my journey. I’ve found myself in situations, places and the company of so many people that I never imagined. I see the hard work as just meeting “fate and what is supposed to be” halfway!
