Today we’d like to introduce you to Danny Armas.
Hi Danny, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Inglewood, California. After graduating from high school, I attended college for two years before deciding to join the Marine Corps. One of my biggest motivations was making sure my mom had the legal documentation she needed to remain in this country. With everything happening with ICE, I was scared for her, and helping her find that security was incredibly important to me.
After accomplishing that goal, I moved on to pursue a new chapter in my life as a flight attendant and content creator.
I’ve always tried to make people smile and remind them that better days are coming, even when life gets difficult.
Currently, I travel between Los Angeles and Puerto Rico, but no matter where life takes me, I’ll always have so much love for LA and the community that raised me.
One of my upcoming projects this December is giving back to my hometown of Inglewood by helping feed over 1,000 people experiencing homelessness. Inglewood is also where I started my landscaping business, making this project even more meaningful to me.
At the end of the day, I want to use every opportunity I’m given to make a difference, inspire others, and give back to the community that helped shape who I am today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like everything in life, it takes time.
Sometimes, I feel like giving up on myself and wonder if any of it is even worth it.
But seeing the light at the end of the tunnel makes me run even faster.
I want to keep doing more, becoming more, and eventually inspire others to believe in themselves and do more, too.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work in aviation as a flight attendant, and I try to bring peace, happiness, and joy into people’s lives.
I also love sharing pictures and videos on Instagram that make people smile, inspire them, and remind them that there’s still so much beauty in life.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is seeing all of my mom’s brothers and sisters come together one night, looking up at the stars and crying tears of joy.
I was too young to understand why they were crying, but I knew that moment meant something incredibly special to them. I held on to that memory until I was old enough to ask my mom why she had been crying that night.
She told me there was a big, beautiful star in the sky that evening. I vividly remember it, too. They believed it was their father’s way of coming to say goodbye.
At the time, my mom and all her siblings were undocumented, and they couldn’t travel back to say goodbye to their father when he passed away. Some of those who did make the trip had a very difficult experience returning to the United States.
I carry this memory with me because it reminds me of the beauty of family, the depth of love, and the sacrifices people make in pursuit of a better life.
It reminds me that behind every immigrant story is a family, a dream, and a love that knows no borders. ❤️
