Meet Daniel Becker of LYNK

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Becker.

Hi Daniel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My career started about 12 years ago when I found myself without a house to live in or a car to drive. I had recently lost my job as that company went broke and took me down with it. This was my family’s business so I invested everything I had to help keep the doors open. Clearly, it did not work.

Being at rock bottom and recovering from being taken advantage of, I knew I wanted to start my own business where I was more or less in control of my own destiny. This was around 2008/2009 so we were deep into the great recession. I had always heard that the only things that do well during bad times were sex, drugs, and alcohol. By process of elimination, I landed in the adult products industry.

This was your typical fake it until you make it story. I had no clue about these products and in fact, never even stepped foot into an adult store at this time. I went to a few tradeshows to understand the industry and basically networked my way into my business. I made incredible connections that to this day I still work with.

Being a big fan of data, over the years I have fine-tuned my business model by following the data. I have built and sold numerous websites while gathering more vital data. This data led me to build my company RMMD which is the parent company of LYNK (https://lynkpleasure.com) and The Enhanced Male (https://theenhancedmale.com). At this time we are the fastest-growing men’s performance product company in the country.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t believe anybody has a smooth road to success. As an entrepreneur, we deal with new struggles almost daily. Doing this for 12+ years I can say that to be successful, you must be able to take a step back and see the problems for what they are, opportunities in disguise. Typically a rough road will show you hidden doors you would never have seen if things were going well. Our biggest and best pivots have been during the hardest and darkest times.

We have dealt with many different struggles along the way. Starting from zero with no funding, just getting the business off the ground proved to be more difficult than ever imagined. As we have grown, we have had to deal with our fair share of limitations brought on simply due to the nature of our business. From hiring to marketing, there is still a large portion of the population simply not willing to engage with a business like ours.

We’ve been impressed with LYNK, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LYNK was founded on the premise that nothing should come between us and our needs.

We are primal beings. Arousal is a part of our nature and therefore should be respectfully tended to. We believe our intimate health and performance shouldn’t be an afterthought but rather a daily practice in celebrating our ability to enjoy, give, and receive pleasure.

We know that to get the job done, a man needs the right tools.

We are doers, problem solvers, and high achievers on a mission to build tools for men’s stamina, size, and performance. We are here to knock down the walls of stigma and to pump up our power, performance, and pleasure.

Our main focus is on performance products for men such as vacuum devices, prostate massagers, and constriction rings. All are designed to maximize a man’s personal performance.

We were one of the first true direct to consumer brands of men’s performance products offering the highest quality products at a price reflective of having no middleman. We are vertically integrated meaning we control the entire supply chain from production through putting it in the consumer’s hands.

We are proud of the fact that we have helped over 200,000 men improve their personal lives.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck is a funny thing. I once heard a saying that luck is when preparation meets opportunity and I do believe that. Luck plays a vital role in the success of any business. Being in the right place at the right time is luck. With that being said, that luck was only there because you prepared for it, worked for it, and when the opportunity arose, you were there to take advantage of it.

I love good luck and would take it over quality skills any day of the week. Luck has been a big part of our success but we created this good luck through years of hard work and dedication to our vision.
