Meet D-Win of Los Angeles, CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to D-Win.

Hi D-Win, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey has always been about creativity and building something of my own. I became a rapper in the 7th grade as D-Win. I started Winfield as a fashion brand to express my vision through clothing. Both are extensions of who I am, connected by my love for creativity, storytelling, and self-expression. My goal is to build a lasting legacy through fashion and music while staying true to my vision.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been easy. Balancing a full-time job while building Winfield and making music as D-Win takes a lot of time and sacrifice. There have been setbacks and times when I questioned things, but I keep reminding myself why I started. I’ve learned to be patient, stay consistent, and keep going even when things don’t happen overnight. I have spent a third of my life out of town on this journey chasing my dreams. I have sadly missed a ton of personal moments, funerals, and moments I wish I was around for.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I run my own clothing brand, Winfield, and make music as D-Win. Both are ways for me to express myself creatively and tell my story. I’m most proud of building both from the ground up while working a full-time job and raising a family. I think what makes me different is that I’m not trying to follow anyone else’s path. I’m building something that reflects who I am, and I want it to mean something beyond just fashion or music.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people probably don’t know how much of what I do is hands-on. With Winfield, I’m involved in the creative direction and design, and with D-Win, I write, record, and develop my music myself. I’m building both brands while working a full-time job and being a father, so a lot happens behind the scenes that people never see.
