Meet Courtney Andrus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Andrus.

Hi Courtney, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
How I started my journey was from one career as a hairstylist to now becoming an entrepreneur and an upcoming actress! I’ve had two successful businesses but took the time off on one to focus on my new venture called DippedLA. DippedLA is where I create handmade crystal tops and sell Glamorous bathing suits. I’ve always knew I was made to create whether I’m working on any profession. I started using social media for my advantage and wanted to share to the world my creativity, personality, and the confidence one can have by simply being YOU! From there, I decided to brand and market myself and continue to step into my true self. In the last couple of months, I’ve worked with different companies, got my first gig in acting, and still continuing to grow my business. I love what I do and that is simply to create!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Through the process there has been plenty of obstacles, like in any business you’re going to have ups and downs. Some days everything will go smooth, but then other days you’ll hit a bump in the road. No sales, no engagement, no confidence, or even no hope. The best way I can explain getting through those obstacles is literally pushing through and to keep moving forward no matter what. There’s no guidebook as to when these challenges will come so, it’s important to have Self-love and self-confidence. Only you can stop you from being great! You’re going to have to shine even when there’s no one cheering. You have to keep putting out even on the days you don’t want to. Your consistency will show up for you and people will see your hard work and dedication. The beauty of these challenges will build you up to sustain ANY storm.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work consists of creating. I recently just launched my second business DippedLA where I create Glamorous clothing. Apart from that, I started getting into acting which has been truly amazing. I’m known for creating fun content and being able to market myself. The most thing I’m proud of is believing in myself and never giving up. Life hasn’t always been easy for me as I faced many trials so, to see my growth and progress from where I use to be I couldn’t be any more proud! I believe what sets me apart from others has to be my uplifting spirit. My attitude towards myself and others helps people in a way I didn’t think I had until I started following my passion.

What does success mean to you?
I define success by your happiness. Do what you love to do and do it good!
