Meet Christina Vecchi of EventsBytheCea in Costa Mesa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Vecchi.

Christina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always loved celebrating life moments – I was always that girl that would throw backyard tea parties, themed summer BBQs, fancy soiree’s, and basically anything I could coordinate and style. I have always been inspired by “pretty little things”. Yet, it was not until my junior year of college at the University of California, Irvine when my event journey began. I joined their Fashion Interest Group and within six months became their lead planner resulting in my presidency senior year. At that time, I put on some of the largest fashion shows the club has seen since 2007. My last fashion show was one of my proudest college moments and it was then that I realized I needed to pursue my love and passion for design and coordination.

Immediately after college, I started working at Kendra Scott which is a state-wide fashion & jewelry company which relies heavily on “shopping parties”, trunk shows and events. I was hired to be their West Coast Events Manager where I organized every shopping party you can think of, I absolutely loved every minute of it. After two and half beautiful years, I got offered the opportunity to work alongside the team at Pure Lavish Events which is when I learned EVERYTHING about weddings & more! My love for event coordination, styling and design tripled and I knew that this was a business that I wanted to be in forever. However, I found myself not feeling fulfilled and it was on a Sunday morning during my morning hike that I decide to take a leap of faith and start my own business. It April 2016 when EventsBytheCea was born.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been an incredible journey – one filled with beautiful chaos, financial stress, and a TON of learning curves. Starting my own business has been one of the scariest leaps and journey’s that I have ever been on. You have to put your complete all into it which means sacrificing a lot – your relationships, your free time, your luxuries, hobbies and everything in between. I definitely have had my share of hiccups but each struggle has taught me huge life lessons. The only way to survive is to surround yourself with a tribe of people who not only support you but truly believe in the work that you are doing and of course, to ultimately have confidence in yourself.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with EventsBytheCea – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
EventsBytheCea is a full-service event, fashion and lifestyle company. We are dedicated to turning your Pinterest dreams into a reality! Your celebration is our celebration and we want to ensure that every detail, every vision, and every ounce is done with love! Whether it is your wedding, birthday party, baby and/or bridal shower, or stylized photo shoot, we will partner with you to ensure that everything is exactly how you envisioned it. We believe that a good life is a collection of happy moments and with that, life is too short to have boring parties!

We specialize in celebration planning, styling and design – we are known for weddings, birthdays, and stylized photoshoots.

What makes us different is that we value creativity which allows us to turn our client’s inspirations into dreamy realities. We are all about showcasing our client’s personality and filling their celebrations with bright hues, fun patterns, and Bohemian + tropical vibes. We enjoy pushing the limit and going against “traditional” wedding looks and etiquette.

I am proud of the overwhelmingly positive response from our clients and the community but I am most proud of the potential that continues to develop. With the help of my wonderful team, EventsBytheCea’s vision has remained consistent and has become something more than I envisioned it to be.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Within this year, I plan to expand our team and services. My vision for 2017 is to have a full-service rental store that offers a wide range of authentic, charming and colorful pieces that will ultimately be used to transform one’s space.

We have so many exciting opportunities ahead – we will be featured at several bridal shows this fall and this summer, we will be working with some incredibly talented visionaries for upcoming editorial photoshoots. In addition, we have partnered with Milano Shoes and will be working with them to redesign and style their stores all over Orange County.
