Meet Brandy Velasquez of Holistique in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Velasquez.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Brandy. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
In 2002, I went to school to become a medical assistant, and after several years of working as a medical assistant in many different specialties, such as family practice, pediatrics, oncology, and surgery, I realized I wanted to take things to the next level, so at that point, I went to nursing school.

I attended as an LVN, I worked in several different facilities like hospitals or convalescent homes, and after doing that, I realized I wanted to further my education and began working for a plastic surgeon since I was fascinated by surgery and people healing through surgery.

After a tragedy in my family of losing my father, I started to question western medicine and therapies used. From there, I started to become interested in holistic healing, nutrition, and medicine. I began to heal myself and changing my own practices in my life from the typical western-American diet and nutrition to more of the holistic eastern ways.

Once I started to heal myself and change my lifestyle after my family tragedy, I looked for different kinds of therapies for people who weren’t finding any solutions from western medicine and this led me to the Amazon to find cures/solutions for people who were healing from different kinds of ailments, addictions, or any kind of mind problems.

This is why I started to go to Amazon and working with different kinds of plant medicines and finding other medicines that were very healing. After my trip to the Amazon and working with different modalities of medicines and healing with strong plant medicines. I came to realize that our disconnection from nature is what makes us ill; we are all disconnected from our own souls, from nature, and from our own intuition.

Once I came to this conclusion of how we were disconnected from nature and from our own souls, I was inspired to come back to LA and open my own healing sanctuary, and I wanted it to be something for people living a mainstream lifestyle in LA to come to me to learn other holistic healing modalities.

This is why I decided to open up Holistique in Beverly Hills. There is where I do holistic beauty and spiritual healing and is where I am able to merge both of the things I am passionate about helping people to look good on the outside so that they feel their best on the inside.

At Holistique, I do beauty treatments, spiritual healing treatments, and I work with clients on an individual level to help them achieve their goals, to inspire them to become their own healer and to reestablish a connection with their own soul which is where the spiritual healing comes into play. This is how Holistique came about.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely not been easy, and this is not the first business that I have opened; this is now my third business, and I definitely feel like the third time is a charm. I have learned a lot from my other business adventures and processes. I have no regrets because everything I have done has led me to this point.

The road is never smooth, it is always bumpy. It is about finding creative ways to get over the bumps and to keep pushing forward. A struggle I have faced would be learning to delegate as a business owner properly instead of trying to do everything myself because you can’t do everything yourself.

You can’t be the business owner, administer the treatments, do the laundry, manage the social media, and everything else all at the same time, you have to have people that can help you get to the next level. If you want to stay where you are, don’t have any help. If you want to get to the next level, then you need people to help you get there.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Holistique – what should we know?
At Holistique, we are known for our holistic beauty and healing treatments. One of our popular treatments is Endermologie which is a specialty lymphatic massage, originating from France. It releases toxins resistant from diet and exercise, increases circulation, and improves lymphatic flow.

Other treatments we do at Holistique include spiritual healing which involves mentoring one-on-one counseling, energy healing to rebalance the clients’ energetics, organic skincare, and different facials to help with anti-aging, acne, and other skin conditions.

As a company, I am most proud of being able to be open, being a holistic natural business that helps people to look and feel their best without cutting any corners or using any dangerous or toxic chemicals on the body. Everything at Holistique is actually good for you. We don’t do anything just to make you look better, but all of the treatments have physical health benefits as well as aesthetic benefits.

When people come to Holistique, they’re not just getting only beauty benefits, they’re getting healthy, beauty, and spiritual healing all in the same package. There aren’t many places one can go and find where someone is caring about you as a whole. This is why I named my business Holistique because I care about the whole of a being, their mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.

This is why I am proud of it since I don’t need to cut any corners or do things I don’t believe in to be successful or make money. I do what I feel is best for the client as a whole. What sets us apart from others is the fact that we are purely holistic, don’t cut corners, or do any “quick fixes” just to make money.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Love, truth, and integrity.
