Meet Booger Boobs & Kami Oh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Booger Boobs & Kami Oh.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Booger Boobs and Kami Oh met back in 2016 at a little burlesque show in Hollywood. And it was instantly a perfect partnership. We performed together in multiple shows in and around Los Angeles for years when we finally decided in 2022 to produce a show together basically so we could do whatever we wanted and to hire our favorite LA burlesque performers to come and get weird and wonderful with us. And so Ridiculesque was born. Together our company name is Twitease Presents which comes from the fact that we have exactly the same boobs. I mean down to the nipple they are identical. They are Twin Titties hence Twitease.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Producing a show is a lot of work but we balance each other’s skill sets. When one needs something the other is already on top of it and vice versa. The main struggle is always getting the word out and butts in seats. You can have a fabulous show but if no one knows about it’s hard to get the crowd the show deserves. Also trying to promote a burlesque show always has its struggles because we do run into restrictions with social media and such.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Twitease Presents is a combination of both Kami Oh and Booger Boobs talents. Kami Oh has been performing burlesque for 15 years all around the US. She started in Chicago under the mentorship of Michelle L’amour. She moved to LA in 2013 where she continued to shake it around the area. In 2018 she began emceeing shows and has evolved into not just a burlesque dancer, but a host, singer and occasional topless tap dancer. Kami is also a regular host and troupe member of Babylon Cabaret.

Booger Boobs has been a professional dancer for 14 years. She has performed as a showgirl all over the world including in France, The Netherlands, Belgium and Melbourne Australia (her hometown). She perfected the cancan while she was in France and it is now her specialty. She started traditional burlesque in Chicago in 2013 also under the instruction of Michelle L’amour. And performed all over the city before moving to Los Angeles in 2016. She is a dancer, actor, singer and burlesque producer just to name a few.

Any big plans?
We are focused on growing our new monthly show Ridiculesque to continue to provide more performance opportunities to other performers with the goal of having an inclusive and diverse cast. Also adding burlesque classes for all levels. We have some other projects in the works but we can’t reveal just yet.
