Today we’d like to introduce you to Dennis Dang.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
APT10 is an independent record label based in Los Angeles. We represent the musicians; DAAANG, LaFLEURRR and JULIEN. Jonathan Lee (LaFLEURRR) and I (DAAANG) started this platform to build a community and help emerging artists. We honestly just want to make cool music, videos, products and have fun.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Growing a music career and record label while working a full-time job is difficult. I design at Tesla, Jonathan leads at TikTok, and Claire Irawan studies at WashU. With limited time and resources, we join every effort to empower artists effectively. From an artist’s perspective, I struggle with making music when my mind is stuck on Tesla. Compartmentalizing between jobs is something I strive to improve. When my mind is clouded, I just focus on recording one solid verse or chorus per session.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about APT10 – what should we know?
APT10’s goal is to tell empowering stories through music, video, and events. As a first-generation Vietnamese millennial, I value my families Saigon origin and journey to America. They’ve passed down incredible stories of youth, empowerment, pain, and success that I find truly inspiring. This heritage helps distinguish my lyrics. Same applies for everyone on my team. We all have personal stories to tell. Package that with a fresh beat, sick video, and you have a cool song.

Live shows. Performing to a ton of people feels liberating. Thank you APT503 Lounge and Songbird Cafe for letting us host events in Los Angeles. One day, we’ll do a world tour and visit Moscow. Shout out to Karina Istomina for blowing up MOONLIGHT (by DAAANG) in Russia. I can’t wait to play there. I think inspiring a large amount of people is APT10’s true definition of success. One day, we’ll create our own Coachella/Tomorrowland.
