Meet Aisha James

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisha James.

Hi Aisha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Aishasblossoms is basically my story in which I reinvented my life over the past five years, from overcoming life struggles as a single mother of five from Philadelphia now to Los Angeles, CA. I’m a fashionable woman, I love to dress up and wear a bunch of colors and patterns, lol. My favorite accessory is my sunglasses! They highlight my face, smile and most of all, my personality. I am the outfit!

About two years ago, I was in Tampa, Fl hanging out with my younger brother Robert Jr, and I had a nice pair of sunglasses on, which at that moment someone complimented me on them. Instantly, my brother said “Sis you should start selling sunglasses, you basically have a store in your closet, as my partner calls it “the mall”

Well, November 2020 my brother referred me to website designer that he knew and by February 2021, Aishasblossoms.com was born!

My website is a visual representation of my fashion, different styles of sunglasses and different accessories at affordable prices. I’m still working on creating the message behind my business, I want vending machines and hopefully a boutique in downtown LA.

Entrepreneurship is a new journey for me over the past 2 years. My actual career is in Hotel Operations, I’ve been in the hospitality industry for the last 18 years of my life. I’ve worked with IHG, Hilton and now Hyatt hotels.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been smooth at ALL! Learning to have patience and faith in yourself, first and foremost is a struggle. Balancing myself, children, my relationship with my partner and my career is a lot of work.

I’ve had a lot of bumps come up with baby daddy issues, health issues and just insecurities in my career, where I’ve been set back.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Hospitality Management is my passion! I love working in hotel operations, from starting as the hotel operator 18 years ago to now managing hotel operations. My specialty is guest services, ensuring the hotels service levels are being provided in a top-tier legendary service way.

I’m proud to not be a statistic, meaning I had my first child at 17 years old and I’m from the hood in South Philadelphia, there were so many traps set out for me to fail, and I’ve overcome everyone thus far!

My personality, perseverance and faith in God set me apart from the rest, I don’t follow, I lead.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Working with me in a hospitality setting is easy, depending on which dept you’re hired to work in. Regarding collaboration, that’s something I’m looking to expand my knowledge on to build different relationships with new vendors. I want to start getting involved with flea Markets and pop-up shops, starting to be a vendor, etc.
