Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Eden.
Hi Rebecca, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been obsessed with the art of beauty and its history drawn to beauty icons like Marilyn Monroe and the power of makeup. Since I was a kid, I knew this was the path I wanted to follow. I began teaching myself through countless YouTube tutorials, spending every spare dollar on makeup products, and practicing on my sisters and friends whenever I could. Eventually, I enrolled at MVA, a makeup school in North Hollywood, where I completed two beauty programs. Since graduating, I’ve thrown myself into the industry taking every opportunity, paid or unpaid, to get my name out there, build connections, and showcase my work. The journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to keep growing, evolving, and creating in this career that truly feels like a dream come true.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a makeup artist has had its ups and downs. One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the freelance world, constantly seeking new opportunities and building a client base from the ground up. Over time, people have started to notice and appreciate my work, and that’s what truly matters to me, knowing that my art resonates with others.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a professional makeup artist. I specialize in a couple things like no makeup makeup, vintage makeup looks and full glam. I am most proud of participating in a LA fashion show where I got to really showcase my speciality in “No makeup makeup”. What sets me apart from others is my attention to detail, I absolutely love giving everything my all. I love working with a team and or client to create a beautiful cohesive look whether it’s a movie set or a one on one makeup session.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
As a makeup artist the most meaningful and impactful lesson I’ve learned is helping someone feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. There is absolutely nothing more rewarding than handed your client the mirror and seeing their smile when they see themselves. Every face is different in their own beautiful ways and my job isn’t just to enhance that but to empower that person!
