Life & Work with Omer Mansano of West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Omer Mansano.

Hi Omer, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born in Israel, when I was 23 I got excepted to Stella Adler Academy of acting and moved to Hollywood to chase the dream, with a full scholarship I graduated from there and made LA my home, now I work as an actor and a model , I wrote and produced an audio drama that now is exploding- The Order of Chaos With a K , I volunteer in a wolf rescue , Apex, an hour away from LA and I enjoy every second of it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It wasn’t smooth at all , growing up in Israel has its peons and cons, there is a sense of community that is hard to explain to a stranger and also army and loss is part of the identity of the country. Serving in the army is mandatory so when I reached the age even though I know I wanted to act , I was sent to be a prison guard in a military prison in the section of Federal crimes. To say it was tough would be an understatement. I knew I’m going to move to LA once I finished my service, I had a poster of the school in my locker, and I was practicing English on the roof arching the sea. I finished my service Nov 2019 – ready to spread my wings and soar, and then Covid hit. I couldn’t move and had to wait another year and a half until everything will open back up. Even here , the rejection and the struggle make it sweeter when I do win and achieve my goals

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have a very vivid imagination and that’s what I work with in everything I do. I wear many hats , that’s because when I was a kid I always said that when I grow up , I want to do everything- that’s why I became an actor. I audition a lot to all kinds of projects, I worked on verticals, commercials, print campaigns, runways, music videos, theater shows, shorts and a feature film and the thing I’m most proud of my audio drama . It’s different because it’s my soul project from writing it and acting in it to directing and producing it, I look at every view , every comment and every single message from fans. I also opened a TikTok page for the charcter I’m playing , he’s a werewolf that now is getting almost 20k followers and it keeps growing , very proud of that as well @caydenwerewolfinla

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I listen to a lot of audio dramas to keep my imagination working – two of my favorites The Amelia Project and midnight Burger. For books I love detective stories – Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie (my favorite- endless night)
