Today we’d like to introduce you to Markus Law.

Hi Markus , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am an Early Childhood Educator, Behavioral Specialist, Puppeteer, Musician, Entrepreneur & Father. I worked in the field of early childhood education for over 20 years achieving a BA from Brandman University in ECE and an MA in ECE Leadership from Loyola Marymount University. I also worked in the field of Special Needs & Behavior Analysis for over 15 years completing an Applied Behavior Analysis graduate program for an MA at National University. I enhanced and utilized my skills as a teacher, director, behavior therapist, supervisor & trainer of parents and staff.
My small business Pathfinder Child Development has provided various services in Early Childhood Education, adult supervision, behavior management, and enrichment programs through professional development trainings and conference presentations for the last 10 years. I have presented for various programs and organizations including the National Association of the Education of Young Children, Head Start, California Association of the Education of Young Children, LA County Office of Education and Child Care Resource Centers. I have also provided consulting services for various programs throughout Southern California. Currently, I continue to enhance my entrepreneurship and work as an adjunct college professor and substitute teacher in San Bernardino & Orange County.
Pathfinder Child Developments’ enrichment programs Party Puppet Show & Mr. Markus’ Music Show has been presenting live and virtual programming for school programs and families for 20 years. Both programs take my skills of being a professional musician and puppeteer, early childhood education, and applied behavior analysis to provide entertaining and educational programming for all children.
I am currently working on my branding in the social media market to broaden my reach to a larger audience. Pathfinder Child Development has all aspects of the professional development & training, music & movement programs, and puppet programming on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s difficult to balance work, entrepreneurship, family life, home budgeting, and social life. Each aspect of my work and entrepreneurship has a season where I have to focus on to make money. Each day is an adventure and opportunity to enhance my skills and finances.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an entertainer and teacher. I combine education, music, puppetry, and live performance. I perform my shows, “Party Puppet Show”, & “Mr. Markus’s Music Show”. Party Puppet Show is a unique hand and rod puppet theater program committed to providing a lively variety show that uses puppets, comedy & music that encourages children to be creative and use their imaginations. Audiences will laugh, sing, and dance as they are introduced to a variety of comedy and music styles. Mr. Markus’s Music Show is a music and movement guitar singalong music program provides kiddos with interactive zany songs that give children the opportunity to join in on the fun. As a children’s musician, Markus takes over 20 years of education and performing children’s songs and movement activities to engage kids in a fun and unique way. I also conduct professional trainings for parents and teachers with “Pathfinder Child Development”. Pathfinder Child Development is an Early Childhood Education training, enrichment, and consulting service. Our program looks to ensure that Early Childhood Educators gain and enhance the essential tools that can help young children learn the building blocks to move forward.
I am proud of my body of work and development in all three businesses. What sets me apart from others is that I have extensive experience in all of my fields to service my community.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m not sure. Most people that I know are aware of most of the things that I do. I feel like when I present one of my businesses, they may not know about the others, lol.
