Life & Work with Jack Rain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jack Rain.

Hi Jack, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Born in the city of Angels, this little devil knew that he was born to be an actor.

From a young age, my father and I would go to the movies and soon realized that someday I wanted to play the hero on the Big Screen.

In elementary school, I watched super friends and would perform the scenes in my living room pretending to be the superheroes, jumping from couch to couch and doing monologues on the decks of the beach house.

My first official performance was as Peter Pan for my school play in 3rd grade, from then on I had caught the Hollywood fever.

Always very involved with production and direction, I recently have launched my own YouTube channel creating and writing sketches, self-filmed and edited.

I believe that there is an art to being able to be a part of every facet of film.

I am currently a supporting role playing the comedic best friend in a Horror film called “House of Dolls” set to release in 2022, as well as the Lead Actor/writer/Co-Producer in “Jims Gibberish” which won best dark comedy award at the Reno Film Festival and is currently showing at the “Other Venice Film Festival”.

I love creating comedic relief and adding twists in my writing, I am currently working on a number of short sketches to be released over the next year, to be followed by a short.

I am a videographer/photographer/writer for hire. I am available to film scenes, take headshots or album cover shots or film your next music video.

I have recently filmed and produced/edited “Kacey McClains” music video for “My Own Damn Paradise” which has hit over 200K views and received rave reviews in multiple articles and interviews about the artist.

I will be launching a Patreon soon to help fund the production and location costs.

So if you are interested in helping this little devel continue to create more thrilling comedic laughter please keep your eyes out for that information coming soon and remember to show love and follow my YouTube channel.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am very grateful for everything along the way however it isn’t an easy industry so there are ups and downs. Being a perfectionist has held me back and I have had to learn that it is a form of procrastination that we all deal with, and hopefully, I can spread this message and help others that they are not alone and they should strive to fail fast and apply what we learned from on the next project.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an actor, writer, producer, videographer, and photographer and I love entertaining people by making people smile or laugh, even if I have to be the butt (hehe) of the joke. I am known primarily as an actor for tv shows and independent movies currently, I am creating my own comedy sketches and continuing to grow as an actor/writer/producer./videographer and photographer.

I am most proud of the ability to bring laughter into people’s lives and put a smile on their faces.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My optimism is something that I feel is very important as an actor and has helped me be able to keep moving forward even when things are slow.

As well as the natural entrepreneurial in me, I am always looking for ways to grow my brand as an actor and new outlets, turning ideas into income.
