Today we’d like to introduce you to Enrique Marcial.
Hi Enrique, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been drawn to creative expression. Even as a kid, I had this belief that I was meant for more in my life and that I was meant to experience more.
After high school, I started taking those creative interests more seriously. I had always known how to draw, but I also wanted to act and model. I began researching and studying actors and models, watching interviews and runway shows, and learning as much as I could. I saved money to invest in photoshoots to build my portfolio and took acting classes to develop my skills. I was constantly studying, practicing, improving, and investing in myself.
As I continued putting myself out there, posting my work on social media, submitting to castings, and applying what I was learning. I started creating opportunities for myself. I booked photoshoots with clothing brands, photographers began reaching out to collaborate, and in 2018 I was accepted to walk in my first New York Fashion Week show with Kenneth Nicholson. Walking in NYFW was something I had dreamed about, so accomplishing that felt incredible. I also booked my first short film as a co-star and eventually started booking more photoshoots and reaching a point where people were asking about my rates.
Another dream of mine was to become a vlogger. I grew up watching YouTube, especially lifestyle vlogs, but for a long time I was too concerned about what other people might think. In 2023, I finally decided to stop overthinking it and created my own YouTube channel. Seeing my partner, who is also a vlogger, create content in real life gave me the push I needed to realize that this was something I could do too.
I had also always dreamed of living in Los Angeles and giving myself the opportunity to take my creative career further. In 2024, that dream became a reality. After an eight-month long-distance relationship, my partner and I took a cross-country road trip from my hometown in South Jersey all the way to Los Angeles.
Living in LA ended up becoming about more than pursuing my career. It triggered a period of deep self-growth and introspection. I started recognizing habits, thought patterns, and parts of myself that no longer served me. In a lot of ways, I feel like I’m becoming a new version of myself.
That period caused me to take a step back from some of my creative pursuits and reassess my life and what I truly wanted. But I think sometimes you have to take a step back to move forward. Now I’m in a place where I’m expressing my creative side again and actively working toward the dreams I’ve had for years.
It hasn’t happened overnight, and there have definitely been periods where I’ve had to balance my creative goals with a regular job and everyday responsibilities. Every experience has shaped where I am today. I’ve become much more confident in who I am, what I want, and what I’m capable of, and I’m now focused on turning everything I’ve been building into a career in entertainment and creative entrepreneurship.
I still consider myself to be at the beginning of the journey, but when I look back, I realize I’ve already accomplished so many of the things I once only dreamed about. I feel much closer to becoming the person and artist I always knew I could be.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to pursue a creative career while also balancing a regular job and everyday responsibilities. There have been times when I’ve had to slow down creatively, reassess my priorities, and figure out how to keep moving forward without losing sight of what I ultimately want.
A lot of the obstacles have also been internal. Earlier on, I cared a lot about how other people might perceive me, which sometimes kept me from putting myself out there as much as I wanted to. I had to work through that and become more comfortable being seen, taking risks, and trusting myself.
Moving to LA also brought a different kind of challenge. I expected the move to push my career forward, but it also pushed me inward. I went through a period of deep self-reflection where I started questioning certain habits, thought patterns, and ideas about who I thought I was. That meant temporarily taking a step back from some of my creative pursuits while I worked on myself.
Looking back, I don’t see that period as falling off track. I see it as part of the process. I’ve learned that growth isn’t always about constantly doing more. Sometimes you have to pause, rebuild yourself, and get clear on what you really want before you can move forward with more intention.
The road hasn’t been perfect, but every challenge has taught me something about discipline, patience, confidence, and trusting my own path. I think those lessons will ultimately make the next chapter of my career even stronger
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a multitalented creative focused on acting, modeling, content creation, and video editing. I enjoy using each medium differently, acting for storytelling, modeling for visual expression, and content creation to share my personality and perspective. Through creating my YouTube channel, I’ve also developed my skills in video editing, learning how to shape my own footage and turn everyday moments into stories.
I’m most proud of turning things I once only dreamed about into real experiences, from walking in New York Fashion Week with Kenneth Nicholson to booking my first short film, working with clothing brands and photographers, and eventually becoming a lifestyle vlogger.
What sets me apart is that I don’t want to limit myself to one category. I enjoy being both the talent and the creator behind the work, and I’m interested in building a career where acting, modeling, storytelling, and content creation can all exist together. My goal is to continue developing those skills while eventually creating my own projects and building a creative business.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I would say self-belief. I’ve always had this inner belief that I’m capable of more and that the things I envision for myself are possible, even when I couldn’t see exactly how they would happen. That belief has pushed me to take risks, invest in myself, keep learning, and continue moving forward even when the results weren’t immediate.
I’ve learned that talent is important, but believing in yourself enough to keep showing up, improving, and taking opportunities is what turns potential into something real.
