Today we’d like to introduce you to Elyse Winter
Hi Elyse, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my fashion career interning at age 15. Since then I have worked for some amazing luxury companies like Barneys and Farfetch. I’ve styled clients on the side for the past 10 years and it has organically turned into a business. I travel between NYC and my home base of LA often to service clients but offer my services virtually around the world. When I had my daughter in 2022 I felt very overwhelmed with my new identity and wanted to help others struggling with the same issue. Clothing is such a large part of our identity!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh boy! I have had some wild experiences. Working as an intern I once had to lint roll a carpet because the team didn’t like the noise of a vacuum. I have put in a LOT of time and hard work to get to this point.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a stylist and personal shopper for everyday people. I help people edit their closets and inject newness into their wardrobe to create a wearable collection of clothes. I work both virtually and in person. I’m most proud of my ability to help people feel good about themselves. I like to get very vulnerable and personal with clients. What sets me apart from others is my responsiveness and my actual desire to help someone vs just trying to rack up a bill.
What were you like growing up?
I was definitely always outgoing and funny. I loved spending time with family and they really shaped me into who I am today. My grandmother worked in fashion and it really inspired me to do what I do today.
