Today we’d like to introduce you to Denicia Echiribel

Hi Denicia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a personal assistant, I was frustrated with the available carry-on luggage options. Disappointed with the store offerings, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Pencil, newspaper, and a measuring tape, I designed my first travel bag.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been smooth although I don’t give up. It’s taking some time but doing this on my own is a challenge I’ve accepted.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a handbag designer who has expanded into accessories. In the near future, I plan to launch a clothing line specializing in leather and canvas, while also exploring other materials.
I’m most proud of the fact that my bags sell out. If you miss out on a particular design, it’s gone for good, as each piece is one-of-a-kind. This exclusivity is what sets me apart from other designers.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
You know I’m not sure about the industry, but I have high hopes for Denicia handbags in the next 5 to 10 years. I envision my label in more stores in affluent areas. I’m eager to introduce constant changes to my line and see my bags, accessories, and potentially clothing out there. It’s exciting!
