Hi Alexander, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
American, b. 1971, California, United States.

I have lived a charmed life . . .

in the heart of California and beyond

. . . inspired by Mendocino, Napa Valley to San Francisco, Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, Montecito and all the other jewels along the California Coast from Oregon to Mexico. [ add an across-the-USA car tour through 32 states ] New York, Paris, Italy and beyond . . . travel and taking the unbeaten path carved and shaped my ethos.

I have been beyond fortunate to cross paths with some amazing humans.

My secrets to living my best life?

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

My road has been paved with diamonds… both rough and polished. However, the entire journey thus far has been faceted with scintillation.

Life interrupted. Often. The challenges I navigated were certainly at times, intense and daunting. Suiting up and showing up gave me so many valuable lessons necessary for me to be present and face the future with progressively diminishing fear.

Living life with respect to intention. When I was young, money was a driving factor in all my decisions. I have come to realize, money or lack thereof is its own vortex of negative energy. It took me 40 years to re-set and pivot my thought process about the pursuit of riches. A catastrophic event forced me to analyze my intentions to recognize what truly resonates with my happiness. The answer albeit simple . . . appeared when I was truly humble and vulnerable… most of all, ready to receive this most paramount message: To do what I love without compromise. Pursue the dreams that fuel my soul… and… enjoy the journey: “the money will come.”  BE THE CREATIVE YOU WERE BORN TO BE

I was born with all the stars aligned in my favor. I didn’t know it then but today, I can face the rearview mirror with such gratitude and grace… my lens and focus have been formed by a foundation of intense trials and tribulations, countless miracles, bountiful gifts, friendships, treasured happenstances and love.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

I am a CREATIVE: artist, designer, writer, chef, film producer, ᴬᴻᴰ photographer.

I love to design… creating “things”… collaborating with esteemed brands – from jewelry to clothing to furniture – interior and exterior design projects – further translating to textiles, wallpaper, accessories and objects ie: the little treasures of LIFE . . . and in essennce – the past, PRESENT and future  world of AD.

I have several exciting and notable design collaboration projects that are becoming a reality where they were once just living on my vision board.

In that, I have been recently entrusted into finding and designing a flagship store in Los Angeles for a very well established Italian furniture brand.

I have been fortunate to have been a part of some great film projects. I am currently producing and designing for an important epic feature film based in the era of the 20’s 30’s and 40’s

I am also a Creative Director for a luxury travel brand [ a division of Altour Travel / AMEX ] and a foundation [ Compassion Can’t Wait ]. As a creative director… it gives me pure adrenalin and joy to live, breathe and foster a brand’s DNA… making something “timeless” where design is concerned with exceptional quality, form and function, vision.

I LOVE to chef . . . feeding one’s senses with a poetic flavor-centric menu that fuels your mind, body and soul.

some [ day ] I will “retire” imagining, visualizing and creating within a restaurant [ which I have already designed and conceptualized ]… some [ where ] known and unknown: could be in the country… in the city… or by the sea: a venue that will invite all into a world that is entirely curated to elicit inspiration without bounds. . . a tangible intangibility: it’s a very unique and interesting concept… it will be my gift to you… and I can’t wait to share in the experience.
