Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayciii.

Kayciii, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Born and raised on the south side of Chicago My background stems from a lot of different elements. I started off in performing arts (all forms of dance) and gradually making my way into the musical side of it. started writing and recorded my first song in the 7th grade. At that moment I knew this is what I wanted to do and I’ve been going none stop since then.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Yet nothing worth having comes easily. The main struggle would be being a woman in a male dominated industry and having to deal with the everyday moments of always having to prove yourself without coming off a certain way or losing your integrity. I guess overall just gaining respect. My advice to all women young and old, be true to yourself and know that God has given you something no man can deny. Hold on to that and you will be just fine. Work extremely hard and let no one tell you can’t accomplish your goals. Stay focused.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with your business – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am what I like to call myself a full-on entertainer. More than just a singer/songwriter. The total package! My brand would be myself! I am proud of who I’ve become as an artist. I’m independent so whenever I am able to implement my vision and it comes to fruition and it’s something that I myself put together, it’s the most rewarding. What sets me apart from others? Well I am Kayci if that’s not enough I don’t know what is. Lol No, but seriously, I am me at the end of the day. We all may have the same gifts but being put on this earth individually sets us apart from the start. 😊

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
Keep a good head on your shoulders. Know that it won’t be easy and the obstacles will come. But no matter what, keep going. You can be almost to your destination but once you decide to turn around and go back, you’ll never know what was meeting you at the end of the road. Keep going! Take a minute to regroup then get back up and finish.
