Life & Work with Cameron Gregory

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Gregory.

Cameron Gregory began his journey into the entertainment industry without even realizing it. Growing up as a “preacher’s kid,” he was very active in all things church and performing arts. He starred in plays and even started a Christian hip-hop dance group. From a young age, he was trained by world-traveling musicians and began mastering his craft on the drums. Cameron started learning studio engineering as a teen and began assisting with mixing and recording. He also took up DJ’ing at the age of 19. By the age of 22, he was running the entire media department at his church. Cameron teamed up with friends and rebirthed their youth ministry by taking their creative vision and bringing it to life. He started working with a long-time friend to develop an idea for an urban wrestling league and COMPTONMANIA was born. As a grassroots business with no production budget, Cameron shot and edited not only COMPTONMANIA’s first video but his first video ever as well. He fell in love with filming as the pandemic forced Comptonmania to go from in person shows to producing continuous digital media content. Cameron married his love for film and music together and began producing, recording and editing his own music and videos. JUSCAMOK productions is a passion project that’s been 20 years in the makings. What sets Cameron apart is his one-stop shop creative service. As an artist and producer, he has a unique ear and eye that allows him to provide content that’s truly one of a kind. JUSCAMOK productions got its first client and Cameron’s phone hasn’t stopped ringing since.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Balancing my life and art as well as my responsibilities all while still reaching my goals.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a cinematographer, producer, editor, artist and engineer. I specialize in shooting live performance recordings and editing anything video.

I’m known for my edits and the ability to capture the artist/performer in their rawest and most passionate form. I’m also known for coming up with bars and melodies at the drop of a hat. I’m most proud of not limiting myself to using just one of my talents but combining them together to form a mega zord of a production. What sets me apart is that I’m always creating even in the moment of shooting.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Just moving with the flow, I just became a part of a big group of entrepreneurs called the Production House were a one stop shop for everything production. From producers, directors, writers, editors, actors, musicians, artists we got it all. We just finished our 180-degree green screen!
