Inspiring Conversations with Trinh Nguyen Georg of Facelates

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trinh Nguyen Georg.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born and raised in Vietnam, where I built a successful career in international banking and business development. At 31, I moved to Germany with my husband and our six-month-old son. Almost overnight, I went from being an independent career woman to a stay-at-home mother in a country where I did not speak the language and had no family or close friends.

After experiencing postpartum depression, I began rebuilding my confidence through small acts of self-care, starting with physical exercise and later facial exercise. Learning how to work with my face naturally helped me feel connected to myself again.

I started sharing simple exercises online with no business plan. I only wanted to share what had helped me and encourage other women, especially mothers who had also lost part of themselves. The response grew into a global community of approximately 2.5 million followers.

As more women asked for guidance, I realized they needed more than random exercises. They needed a clear and structured method. That led me to create FACELATES®, a face-training method based on muscle activation, control, mobility, strengthening, and release.

Today, I am building FACELATES® into a globally recognized face-training method. What began as a personal journey of rebuilding my confidence has become a way to help other women care for their faces naturally, understand how their faces move, and feel more confident as they age.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Moving from Vietnam to Germany meant leaving behind my career, independence, family, and support system. I did not speak the language, and becoming a stay-at-home mother made me feel as though I had lost an important part of my identity. Experiencing postpartum depression after both pregnancies was one of the most difficult periods of my life.

When I began creating content, I had no team, business plan, or experience in building an online business. I worked whenever I could while raising two young children and learned everything through trial and error—from filming and editing to marketing, course development, and navigating Germany’s complicated business administration.

Another unexpected struggle came when my videos began going viral very quickly. Suddenly, I was receiving thousands of comments, questions, and private messages. I felt grateful, but also overwhelmed by the responsibility. I placed enormous pressure on myself to create more content and personally answer everyone. When I could not keep up, I often felt that I was not doing enough for the people who supported me.

We’ve been impressed with Facelates, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
FACELATES® is a structured face-training method that I created to help women care for their faces naturally and with greater understanding. The name comes from Face Pilates, and the method combines muscle activation, control, strengthening, mobility, and tension release.

What sets FACELATES® apart is its emphasis on structure and technique. Instead of collecting random facial exercises from social media, I teach women how different areas of the face work together, how to perform movements correctly, and how to build a consistent practice. We focus on realistic progress without promising to stop ageing, permanently remove wrinkles, or replace medical treatments.

FACELATES® offers free beginner routines, focused mini-courses for areas such as the eyes, cheeks, lower face, jawline, and neck, as well as our signature Timeless Beauty program for women who want a complete, long-term face-training practice.

I am most proud that the brand grew from my personal healing journey into a global community of approximately 2.5 million people. Women often tell me that FACELATES® has changed more than how they look—it has helped them feel more confident and connected to themselves.

I want everyone to know that ageing does not make them powerless and that caring for their faces can come from knowledge, consistency, and self-respect rather than fear. Many people discover face exercises online but feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice and do not know which exercises to choose, whether their technique is correct, or how to create a balanced routine. FACELATES® removes that confusion by providing clear guidance, progressive training, and programs designed for specific concerns and areas of the face.

Readers can begin with our free routines, explore focused mini-courses, or follow our signature Timeless Beauty program for a complete long-term practice. Every offering is designed to help women move beyond random exercises and understand how to train their faces with greater control and consistency.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I did not build my career through traditional networking or one formal mentor. Much of my journey involved learning independently, experimenting, making mistakes, and listening carefully to my audience.

What has worked best for me is sharing my work consistently and connecting with people genuinely. When you clearly communicate what you care about and continue creating value, the right relationships often develop naturally.

My advice is not to approach networking by immediately asking what someone can do for you. Be curious about their work, offer support where you can, and build the relationship over time. If you are looking for a mentor, ask specific questions rather than requesting unlimited guidance. People are usually more willing to help when they can see that you have already taken initiative.

I also believe that one person does not need to provide every answer. Different mentors, peers, books, and conversations can guide different parts of your journey. The most important thing is to learn from people whose values and actions align with the future you want to build.
