Inspiring Conversations with Trace Albrecht of spokenpoint.com

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trace Albrecht.

Hi Trace, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Spokenpoint is a collection of video acupuncture treatments using adhesive magnets in place of needles. I created spokenpoint in response to the pandemic while my clinic was closed. Last year, we updated the videos to make the experience more frictionless, effective and beautiful.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been difficult to describe this service because it did not exist before we created it. Acupuncture is a bit niche, so introducing a wider audience to a treatment that is like acupuncture but NOT acupuncture has been much more challenging than I expected. On a positive note, video platforms have improved rapidly in the past six years making our service ever more streamlined.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m a licensed acupuncturist, practicing in West LA since 2007. Spokenpoint was born out of my desire to share the benefits of acupuncture with a wider audience than is physically possible in my clinical practice, alone. My clinic is a general practice with deep experience in pain management and body-mind conditions. I’m known for creating conditions in which people feel profound relaxation and relief in the clinic, and have expanded that experience into an online opportunity. Spokenpoint is affordable, easy-to-use and the potential uses are limitless.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
The body of traditional Chiinese medicine, the culture from which it arose, my teachers, colleagues and beloved mentor, Yvonne Farrell deserve credit for inspiring this service. Genevieve Geaney, who saw my vision and ran with it, is the reason spokenpoint went from ‘idea’ to ‘offering.’ My husband, Borna who encouraged me, and immediately built shelving in our garage. Stephanie Mace, website, graphics, social media. Tonya Hudson Clinton, branding. Emily Latchford, graphics, mad skills, Bailey Robb, photographer. Our amazing models, Beba, Fe, Emily, Nick
