Today we’d like to introduce you to Lyndsay Rose Adams.
Hi Lyndsay, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started by having a coach and participating in transformational workshops. That evolved into working for those workshops and learning from their expert coaches and trainers. In 2017, I started Coaching Life Alchemy, my Coaching Practice. Initially, I offered life coaching and academic coaching. I’ve always loved working with students. Now, I’ve expanded to Bridal Coaching, book clubs, accountability groups, and hosting retreats. My dad, Rick Oneal, is a phenomenal coach and facilitator. A lifetime of learning from him has also led me here. It’s my favorite to collaborate with him on projects and in workshops.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yeah, totally smooth. Next question.
Does that even exist?! It has been challenging for sure. The experiential workshops and leadership trainings I worked for shut down, which led to the launch of my business. I felt like a bird being pushed out of the nest before my wings were ready. Throughout the years, the biggest struggle has always been between me and me. Rallying the courage to keep going when it’s hard. Trusting myself again after making mistakes. And, leaning into this work I love, with no safety net.
The Covid years were tough, especially at the beginning. Although the collective need for support increased, people’s budgets for coaching decreased. I lost many clients, especially those wanting to meet in person. Creating new clients has always been a wild ride. A few years ago, I invested thousands of dollars and hired a business coach. After some months, that coach quit and voided our agreement with no refund, citing a loophole in our contract. I was devastated. The experience reinforced my values in business. Integrity is priceless. I never want a client to feel disrespected or blindsided. I do my best to treat people how I want to be treated, and how they want to be treated.
And, basically, every time I need to do something with my website feels like a telenovela of trauma and resilience!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a transformational life and mindset coach and facilitator. I love working with people who desire a rich sense of self and are open to growth and humor. I’ve been involved in the world of personal growth since 2008. From private coaching to working with leadership teams and experiential workshops, I’ve coached 2000+ people. My commitment is to serve people and open possibilities. That people get to experience possibility. That it becomes real. I like to think of myself as a cosmic doorman. As you’re on your journey, I’ll get the door and be with you as you step into the next chapter of life.
I’ve had clients for YEARS. I am most proud of this. Many of my clients have woven me into their lives as a voice of support and trust. I am incredibly humbled and grateful to know and serve people in this deep and meaningful way. I have officiated weddings and given eulogies. I’m sharing a photo with you of me with my client, Maddie. We worked together for 5 years. She transitioned in December of 2024, and I had the profound honor of speaking at her funeral. Maddie was a treasure. Also, there’s a photo of Laura and Karen’s wedding. My goodness, what a special day!
I work with people all over the world- phone and Zoom make it possible and easy. I offer coaching groups like: Accountability Group, Momentum Group, Book Club, Bridal Support, Academic Coaching and Accountability, Personality Workshops and Assessments, and retreats. I am proud to build community through these offerings. People from all walks of life who value authenticity, freedom, and trust. I’m floored by how my community connects and takes care of each other, in the empowering “I see you” way. We also have a lot of fun. I like to bring creativity to groups and gatherings. I’ll often pick affirmation and various oracle cards. I recently led a “Goddess Group,” and I mailed everyone gemstone stickers for their face. It was a total riot to gather on Zoom with a group of adult women all dressed up with gemstone stickers.
I offer “Quest Retreats,” which can involve plant medicine. We take a weekend in nature- Lake Arrowhead or Joshua Tree in California, and Eugene or the Coast in Oregon, and let magic unfold. People experience profound clarity, healing, and divine connection. Like a supreme remembering of who you are. I’m so clear I’m not the one “doing this,” I’m the one creating the space and container for this sacred work. It’s an incredible experience. I want everyone to experience it. International retreats are in the works, too. Travel is transformational, and I am excited to incorporate it in my work.
I started Bridal Coaching after my husband and I got married and had 3 weddings. I am an incredibly resourced person, and still, it was overwhelming and full of heartbreaking moments. The whole process pushes every button you have, while also being an incredibly joyful time. You get engaged and now you need to be a party planner, family therapist, etiquette expert, and Pinterest master, while your social worlds are colliding, your emotions are swirling, expectations are going up, while your bank account is going down, plus somehow you’re supposed to be effortlessly super thin and pretty. It’s a lot.
I work with brides to help them stay sane and gain tools to maneuver the mindfields. Brides get to be empowered, present, and honor themselves and their relationship. I am a wedding officiant as well. I love to create ceremonies that are personal, creative, and special. (Lyndsayroseadams.com is for bridal offerings.)
I tailor coaching programs and packages to each person- it should be personal. With all my work, I make it personal. I enjoy creating opportunities and I also listen to feedback. If a client requests that I lead a group or workshop on a specific topic, I love to create it. I believe coaching should be accessible to everyone, not just business executives and CEOS. I offer scholarships, and special opportunities are available.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My dad was a men’s residence hall Dean at a university, so I grew up living in a boys’ dorm. One Christmas break, when all the students were gone, Dad and I created an elaborate mini golf course that ran throughout the 4 floors, north and south wings. We used the building’s sound system and blasted holiday music as we slammed golf balls down long hallways and giant staircases. It was so fun. You can still see divots in the walls.
