Today we’d like to introduce you to Beatrice Hernandez
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My challenges have often come in the form of financial struggles. As an independent person, it’s been incredibly tough to make it in Los Angeles, but I’ve stayed consistent, worked hard, and remained positive no matter what. I’m grateful to my parents for instilling in me a strong work ethic that has carried me through. Another difficult moment in my life was the loss of my French Bulldog four years ago. I had him for almost seven years, and his sudden passing really affected my mental health—he was more than a pet, he was my everything. Before that, I faced the loss of my mother to pancreatic cancer when I was 22. Her passing left me devastated, and shortly after, I came to Los Angeles to escape the depression and confusion. I threw myself into work, hoping it would help me find some clarity. While it’s still hard to face the absence of the two things I loved most, I’m deeply thankful for the unwavering support of my father, siblings, true friends, and my nephew, who keep me grounded and remind me of what truly matters.
As you know, we’re big fans of Beatrice Sells LA & Trashie Yoga . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am committed to making homeownership accessible and fulfilling to my clients. I’m so proud and grateful to work alongside Laura Kalb, a seasoned real estate expert with over 30 years of experience, and be part of the prestigious Hilton & Hyland team—renowned for its reputation in the luxury real estate market. This partnership allows me to leverage Laura’s deep industry knowledge and Hilton & Hyland’s expansive network, giving my clients unparalleled access to opportunities in both residential and investment properties.
I specialized in guiding buyers and sellers through the often-overwhelming process of finding the perfect home or investment property. t’s not just about closing a deal. It’s about understanding my client’s needs, goals, and dreams, and making them feel supported every step of the way. I have full transparency, and love to build lasting relationships rooted in trust and integrity.
I am also the founder of Trashie Yoga, a community-driven initiative that blends environmental activism with wellness. Trashie Yoga brings together like-minded individuals for free yoga and meditation classes while cleaning up the Venice Beach community. “
What I am most proud of, the ability to integrate my passion for real estate and community activism. I’m not just a real estate agent—I’m an advocate for my clients and my community, a champion for environmental change, and a wellness. When clients work with me, they know they’re not just getting someone who knows the market—they’re getting someone who truly cares about their well-being and the world around them.
I built my brand on authenticity, hard work, and a positive mindset—values that have been shaped by my personal journey and my partnership with some of the most respected names in the industry. Whether you’re looking to buy, sell, or invest in real estate, my blend of expertise, experience, and community-oriented approach ensures you’re not just another transaction, but a valued part of my mission to make a positive impact.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I truly believe that success often comes down to being in the right place at the right time, but what sets those moments apart is what you do when they come. Throughout my journey, I’ve had a few serendipitous moments that I would consider “lucky.” Moving to Los Angeles, for example, was a pivotal point in my life. I didn’t have all the answers or a clear roadmap, but it just felt like I was meant to be here. There was a kind of timing that helped me step into new opportunities—whether it was meeting the right people, joining a team like Hilton & Hyland, or starting Trashie Yoga to bring people together.
But luck is only part of the equation. I’ve learned that it’s not just about the circumstances but about making the most of them. Luck has certainly played a role in putting me where I am, but it’s the hard work, persistence, and the ability to stay positive even in tough times that have truly shaped my business and life. I don’t take luck for granted—it’s a reminder to stay open to new opportunities and to always keep pushing forward, even when things feel uncertain.
