Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Dorsey.
Hi Adrienne, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started Magnolia Public Relations in 2006 after I saw a need to connect brands to their desired media outlets at a boutique, personal level. We work with newly emerging and established brands, building trust and brand awareness through media relations, thought leadership, influencer relations, product placement, and other activations.
We primarily partner with lifestyle, fashion, and family-oriented brands and experts, ranging from kids fashion brands to footwear to lifestyle experts. We’ve landed press in top tier media like the Today Show, Parents, In Style, Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, The Bump, USA Today, and more.
My educational background is in English with a Masters in Business Administration, so it’s a nice combination of both.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always challenges as an entrepreneur, and you’re constantly having to pivot and plan for the future. We’ve successfully navigated all of the changes in the media – from print magazines folding to a digital first focus – by paying attention to forecasts and industry trends. From the pandemic to the rise of artificial intelligence, being flexible and open to new paths to press is key. At the core, focusing on how I can stay true to my mission and serving my clients best in challenging times is what guides my choices.

Magnolia Public Relations is a boutique PR agency serving lifestyle, fashion, and family-oriented brands and experts. Since 2006, we’ve partnered with newly launching brands as well as more established names seeking consistent, sustained brand awareness and credibility. We focus on building visibility and trust to raise the profiles of our clients – this can entail media relations, thought leadership, product placement, consulting, and influencer relations.
