Today we’d like to introduce you to Valery Prosvirov.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have started practicing Kung Fu at age of ten years old with Chinese Master and by 15 y.o. he pushed me to teach people martial arts. And the next decade I studied Chinese philosophy and traditional medicine as well taking students to learn martial arts.
At age of 34 I opened Golden Dragon martial arts school in Moscow. And from this time I started to teach people around the world like seminars in China , Europe and USA.
In 2012 I was granted Green Card as an extraordinary ability in martial arts. I opened Golden Dragon martial arts club in LA.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have been through my up and down because I try to teach martial arts traditional way and that not includes belts and competitions but has lots of hard work to develop body and mind, real martial art skills and the most important health. And also deep development of understanding philosophy of life. But modern people don’t understand this way and don’t have patience and ability to grasp the truth about themselves. That’s why it’s challenging.
