Mrs. Universe Asia USA , Shreyaa Sumi. The Mrs. Universe Asia USA pageant is a prestigious event that celebrates the beauty, talent, and cultural heritage of women of Asian- American descent living in the USA. The pageant is part of the larger Mrs. Universe organization, which is based in Bulgaria and aims to empower women globally. Participants in the pageant are not only judged on their physical appearance but also on their confidence, talent, and commitment to making a positive impact in their communities. Roselle Yang, Grew up in a prominent family of celebrities and political figures, She nurtured a lifelong ambition to become a model. However, after completing college, she prioritized starting a family and raising children . Now that they’re grown, she seized the opportunity to revive her childhood dream, beginning with submitting photos for magazine publication a year ago. This marked the beginning of a journey that has seen her starring in a commercial, walk the runway at fashion shows, participate in various photoshoots, she is all set to represent the Title at 47th Mrs. Universe beauty pageant, proudly under the guidance and mentorship of Director, Shreyaa Sumi , who has been a prominent personality in the modelling & pageant industry. Roselle yang’s heartfelt reflections on the journey and the honor of being crowned as Mrs. Universe Asia USA-2024 by her Director, Roselle feels fortunate to have encountered her director and mentor, Shreyaa Sumi, and is deeply humbled to have been awarded the title of Mrs. Universe Asia USA-2024. She is grateful and thrilled to have the opportunity to represent at the 47th Mrs. Universe pageant in South Korea this October.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Pursuing any goal is bound to come with challenges and setbacks, but Roselle Yang, Mrs. Universe Asia USA-2024 Title winner, stays focused on the belief that success hinges on the individual’s dedication and perseverance. She truly trusts that if it’s meant to be then you can achieve anything with unwavering commitment. Roselle Yang is a mother of 3 grown up boys. Academically, she earned a degree in Behavioral Science, but her dream of becoming a doctor was put on hold when she started a family. To achieve the American dream and provide good support for her family, she opted to pursue a career in Nursing. She initially began the journey as a nurse in a Telemetry/Medical-Surgical unit and later transitioned into Case Management. Since childhood, She has been fascinated with dance, largely due to the influence of her best friend being a ballerina, but was discouraged when she was told that she lacked the necessary grace. This led her to abandon the dancing aspirations until, five years ago, She reignited her passion, drawing inspiration from a Filipino actress who defied age norms to learn dance. This motivation led Roselle to take up pole dancing, which has brought her immense joy and uncovered physical abilities she never knew she possessed. Despite her age, Roselle remains incredibly motivated to pursue numerous goals and feels confident that age will not impede her progress.

The Mrs. Universe Asia USA pageant is a distinguished event that honors the accomplishments and contributions of married women of Asian-American heritage residing in the United States. This pageant aims to empower women by offering a platform to display their talents, intelligence, and dedication to community service. As part of the global Mrs. Universe organization, which seeks to recognize the most honorable married women, this pageant goes beyond beauty. It provides a stage for women to highlight critical social issues, such as domestic violence against women and girls. Shreyaa Sumi, the National Director and Franchise Owner of Mrs. Universe Asia USA, has represented the title at various international events. Known for her work as an influencer, actress, and supermodel, her commitment to authenticity and self-expression distinguishes her in the industry. She continues to inspire and mentor other women within the pageant community. The pageant’s mission is to promote cultural diversity, inclusion, and women’s empowerment with a commitment to community service.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
According to Roselle Yang, Mrs. Universe Asia USA-2024, true success lies in achieving happiness and inner peace, which should be the ultimate goals in life. True success is frequently associated with a deep sense of happiness and contentment. This means finding joy in everyday moments and feeling fulfilled in your personal and professional life.
