Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Scott

Hi Nikki, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey is one of determination, creativity, and a deep understanding of what resonates with people. Starting as someone who loved exploring trends and finding ways to express individuality, I quickly realized my knack for connecting with others through style and storytelling.

My big break came when I started sharing unique insights into consumer desires and showcasing my ability to execute ideas flawlessly, often ahead of deadlines. My bubbly personality and genuine approach made me stand out, and I leveraged social media platforms to build a loyal following. This following helped me develop @beatgangbeauty an expansion of my once solo lash brand to now a growing beauty brand featuring lashes, lipgloss, eyeshadows, lash tools, blushes and highlighters.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In the beginning, I struggled to break into such a saturated market. Standing out wasn’t easy, and there were times when I doubted if I was on the right path especially when my growth felt slower than I had hoped.

One of my biggest challenges was balancing my authenticity with the demands of brand collaborations. Early on, I had to learn to say no to opportunities that didn’t align with my vision, even when it was tempting to say yes. It was tough, but staying true to myself became a non negotiable.

Another challenge was keeping up with the fast pace of the industry. Trends are constantly changing, and staying consistent while learning and evolving wasn’t always easy. There were moments when the workload felt overwhelming, but I pushed through because I believed in what I was building.

Looking back, those struggles were necessary. They taught me resilience, focus, and how to trust my gut. Without those challenges, I wouldn’t be where I am today, and for that, I’m grateful.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We were originally an all lash brand that has scaled to a Beauty brand featuring cruelty free and vegan lipgloss, lashes, blush, highlighting powders and much more. Can you share something surprising about yourself?
When the brand first started I dealt with homelessness and wanted to change that dynamic. Once given the ability to give back I partnered with Love Home Inc. to help our supporters with homelessness and tragic situations by giving 10% back from our gloss purchases to Love Home Inc.
