Hidden Gems: Meet Nesrine Ben Brahim of Nesrine Interiors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nesrine Ben Brahim.

Hi Nesrine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in Tunisia, in a beautiful beach town called La Marsa. My earliest memories and pure moments of joy were when I go with my dad who’s a real estate developer to his construction sites and would ask for my opinion in what materials or layout we should choose for a space. That planted in me the eye to understand and visualize a space in my head and understand the WHY before any decision.

Gradually, I developed a love for Interior Design. I moved to the United States in 2016 to pursue studies in Interior Architectural Design. As I was a student in Santa Monica College, I used to find inspiration around Los Angeles and my biggest inspiration was RH (Restoration Hardware Gallery in Melrose, West Hollywood). I used to go there and get mesmerized by the beauty and balance of all elements of design used and the impact of how grounded and serene I felt when I’m there.

It was a dream to be part of a big high-end company as RH and the dream became true when I was hired as a designer in 2019. It was an amazing experience and have learned so much by being exposed to sometimes 30 interactions a day helping clients problem-solving situations in their homes and guiding them toward solutions that take into consideration balance and harmony.

After two years of incredible experience, I decided to open my own business and expand my scope of work to renovations and interior architecture. It has been another dream fulfilled and feels immensely grateful to be able to work with amazing clients making their dreams come to life and enjoy a home that inspires them to feel at peace, inspired and comfortable.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been very challenging and have encountered many struggles that I’m very grateful for. I welcome every challenge as a new opportunity to learn and enhance my knowledge and skills. Being on my own pushes me to always strive to be better, taking more scaled risks and be better every day,

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Nesrine interiors is a full-service Interior Design Firm. I personally design with my clients their residential or commercial space. Together, we understand the needs and lifestyles of the people that will use the space. Then, we work closely together to have a vision and an exciting approach to the way we will make the space feel like. My main goal is to always be inspired by my client’s dreams. I let them express themselves in the most natural way and guide them toward the right decision. I really enjoy the process because it usually unfolds in the most beautiful way at the right timing.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I feel extremely happy every time I leave a client’s meeting and they feel happy and excited about the design. Seeing a project growing and coming together bring me to tears of happiness most of the time because it is literally a dream manifesting into life.
