Hidden Gems: Meet Megan Stirrat and Tenley Hardt of Revel Private Wealth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Stirrat and Tenley Hardt of Revel Private Wealth.

Hi Megan and Tenley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Revel Private Wealth really started with a shared spark. When we met at Merrill Lynch back in 2019, we recognized something in each other almost immediately — the same drive, the same values, and the same desire to take care of clients in a way that felt both thoughtful and strategic. Our strengths were different but complementary, and over time it was clear we were building more than a good working relationship; we were building a vision.

With more than 30 years of combined experience, we eventually realized we had outgrown the structure of a large institution. We wanted more freedom to design an experience that truly reflected the way we believe wealth should be managed: personally, intentionally, and with room to meet people where they are. That’s how Revel was born.

The name itself captures what we hope to help clients create — a life well lived and well supported — grounded in trust and clarity. Partnering with LPL Financial, the nation’s leading independent broker-dealer and custodian, gave us access to a powerful platform and tools without the constraints of a big firm. Independence opened the door for us to offer a wider range of investments, a more flexible process, and a level of personalization that feels much more aligned with who we are and how we serve.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most meaningful chapters, building Revel had its bumps — and a lot of growth. What kept everything steady was our partnership. Transitions are rarely seamless, whether you’re switching careers, moving across the country, or, in our case, launching an entirely new firm from the ground up.

We were incredibly fortunate that our Client Service Associate, Lan Nguyen, was with us from day one. Having her support made a massive difference. Still, the early days were full of long hours, brand-new systems, stacks of paperwork, compliance deadlines, and more tech quirks than we’d care to remember — all while making sure our clients continued to feel the high-touch experience they’ve always known us for.

One of the toughest parts was that, legally, we couldn’t tell our clients about the transition until after we launched, even though we’d been planning it for more than a year. Because our relationships run deep, we wanted them to feel informed and cared for at every step. The initial surprise was natural — but ultimately, our clients quickly understood why we made the leap. Their trust reaffirmed everything we set out to build.

Looking back, we wouldn’t change any of it. Today we serve clients we adore, with more flexibility, better technology, and the freedom to do what’s truly in their best interest. It feels like the beginning of something lasting and meaningful — and we’re grateful every day that we took the leap.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

Revel Private Wealth is a women-owned, independent advisory firm rooted in a simple belief: your financial wellbeing and your personal wellbeing are inseparable. We call this Whole Health Wealth™ — and it shapes everything we do.

We work with high-net-worth families, professionals, and individuals who are navigating meaningful transitions or simply want a more thoughtful, structured approach to their wealth. Our work is both strategic and personal. Every relationship starts with a plan, and that plan guides how we build portfolios—through forward-looking market research, risk-aligned allocation, thoughtful diversification, and disciplined, tax-aware execution.

What clients often tell us they appreciate most is our level of engagement. We’re hands-on, proactive, and genuinely easy to talk to. We blend the rigor of institutional-level planning with the accessibility and care of a close partnership. And because we’re fully independent, we have the freedom to design strategies and make recommendations based solely on what’s best for each client.

What truly sets us apart is consistency. We show up. We communicate clearly. We stay curious about our clients’ lives and evolving needs. And we pair our experience with an approach that feels grounded, balanced, and deeply personal.

At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to help clients move through life’s complexities with more confidence, more clarity, and more space to enjoy what they’ve built — to really revel in it.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?

The biggest lesson we’ve learned is that everything starts and ends with relationships. Trust is the backbone of our work — not just within our team, but with every client who invites us into their financial world. Over time, we’ve seen that true success in this profession isn’t measured only by performance or technical expertise. Those things matter, of course, but they’re not what people remember.

What makes the difference is how you show up — consistently, with empathy, clarity, and integrity. We genuinely love the people we serve and the work we get to do alongside them, and that sense of purpose guides every conversation and every decision.

When clients feel seen, supported, and truly cared for, it changes the way they move through major financial transitions. They’re steadier, more confident, and less overwhelmed. Being part of that process — helping someone feel grounded during an important moment in their life — is the most meaningful part of what we do.
