Today we’d like to introduce you to Janelle Fletcher.
Hi Janelle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in NY and introduced to the entertainment industry at a young age. I chose to pursue modeling as an adult and years later felt called to use my experience to guide aspiring models. In 2020, I decided to go independent and focus on building my own mother agency (@fletchermodelscout). 2020 was also the year FEMINESSITY, our undergarment accessories business, was born.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe there are always going to be struggles along the way. There’s been plenty of rejection, doubt, negative feedback, hard days, etc. Over time you either grow a thick skin or you let it take over. The pandemic was an extremely challenging time but it inspired me to stop making excuses and focus on the ventures i’ve always wanted to experience.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Fletcher Models is a boutique mother agency based in LA. We scout, develop, manage, and place models throughout the world. We have a unique board – going against the norm and scouting talent who have a spark regardless of the standards.
Feminessity is an undergarment accessories business. The inspo was the lack of options women of color have when it comes to undergarment accessories.
The motive is to shine a light on those who have been overlooked.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’m not sure I believe in luck. I believe everything’s already written and I’m blessed even when things are tough. The bad days don’t last even when it feels like there’s no out. The good days are inspiring and the bad days are motivating.
