Hidden Gems: Meet Eloiza Tecson of E20 Training

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eloiza Tecson

Hi Eloiza, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From the time I was a little kid, tearing up the lacrosse field, I understood something fundamental about movement. It wasn’t just about the thrill of the game or the burn in my muscles; it was about something deeper. Sports instilled in me a quiet confidence, a sense of teamwork, and the kind of leadership that comes from pushing your own boundaries while inspiring others to do the same. Those early experiences shaped me, solidifying a deep belief in the power of physical activity to transform not just bodies, but minds and spirits too. It’s a belief that has been the unwavering compass of my entire career.

My journey has always been about movement and performance. Even in my boutique fitness days, surrounded by the energy of group classes and individual triumphs, I sensed a gap. I saw people struggling to fit fitness into their already packed schedules, and I recognized that the traditional approach wasn’t always accessible or inspiring for everyone. There was a missing piece, a way to make movement more efficient, more personalized, and truly inclusive, regardless of someone’s fitness level or athletic background. This realization wasn’t just a fleeting thought; it was a calling. It sparked the vision that ultimately led me to found E20 Training.

E20 isn’t just another fitness studio. It’s a longevity-focused performance space built on the principle that movement should be a lifelong pursuit, accessible and beneficial to every body. We’re not about quick fixes or fleeting trends. We’re about empowering individuals to build strength, resilience, and a deeper connection to their physical selves. And at the heart of our approach is the innovative technology of Electro Muscle Stimulation, or EMS. EMS allows us to deliver a more time-efficient and effective solution to personalized strength training. It’s a way to amplify the benefits of exercise, making every minute count and helping people achieve results they might have thought were out of reach.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Has it been a smooth road? Absolutely not; but that’s the beauty of entrepreneurship. One of the biggest hurdles we’ve faced with E20 has been educating the market about EMS. It’s still a relatively new technology in the fitness space- at least in the U.S. specifically since it’s incredibly popular in the European markets- and there are a lot of misconceptions out there. What we do at E20 is completely different. We use EMS as a tool to enhance strength training, and our programs are built on a foundation of scientifically and clinically backed research. We’re not just throwing electrical impulses at people; we’re using this technology strategically to activate deeper muscle fibers, improve strength and endurance, and even aid in recovery.

Another challenge has been conveying the personalized nature of our training. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Our coaches are trained to adapt each session based on what a member is feeling or needing that day. Maybe someone’s recovering from an injury, or maybe they’re just feeling extra tired. Our coaches can modify the intensity and focus on specific muscle groups to ensure a safe and effective workout. Explaining this level of individualization and the science behind our approach takes time and effort. It’s not just about getting people in the door; it’s about building trust and demonstrating the value of what we offer. We’re committed to doing that, because we truly believe in the potential of EMS training when it’s done right.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about E20 Training?
E20 Training is a longevity-focused performance studio revolutionizing strength training through the innovative technology of Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS). We specialize in delivering time-efficient, personalized workouts that are accessible and beneficial for every body, regardless of fitness level or athletic background. We’re known for our science-backed approach, using clinically researched protocols to guide our training programs and ensure safe and effective results. What truly sets us apart is the combination of cutting-edge technology and highly trained coaches who adapt each session to the individual’s needs and goals. We understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and our coaches are skilled at modifying exercises and adjusting the EMS intensity to maximize results while respecting individual limitations.

We’re incredibly proud of the community we’ve built at E20. It’s a place where people feel supported, empowered, and motivated to achieve their best. We’re not just about building muscle; we’re about building confidence, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to movement. Beyond our in-studio experience, we also supplement our offerings with a digital platform that provides at-home programs designed to complement the in-studio training. This hybrid approach ensures consistent progress and allows our members to maintain their fitness routines even when they can’t make it to the studio. To further enhance the recovery process and optimize results, we offer a selection of recovery tools, such as compression therapy and red light therapy, which can be incorporated after an EMS session. These modalities help to reduce muscle soreness, improve circulation, and speed up recovery, preparing our members for their next workout.

How do you think about luck?
Luck, or perhaps more accurately, the perception of luck, has definitely played a role in my life and business, but maybe not in the way one might initially think. While there have certainly been moments that felt like fortunate timing or serendipitous connections, I’ve come to believe that “luck” is often the byproduct of hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to take calculated risks.

There might be a chance encounter that leads to a valuable partnership, or a seemingly random article that sparks a game-changing idea. Those moments can feel like good luck, but if I hadn’t been actively building my network, constantly learning, and putting myself out there, those opportunities likely would have passed me by unnoticed. Similarly, challenges and setbacks, which might be perceived as bad luck, have often been the catalysts for growth and innovation. A failed marketing campaign might lead to a deeper understanding of my target audience, or a difficult client might teach me valuable lessons about communication and boundaries.

In the case of E20, there were definitely moments that felt like a stroke of good fortune – finding the perfect location for our studio, connecting with a key partners, or having a positive article written about us. But those moments were also the result of countless hours of research, planning, and networking. And when we faced hurdles, like navigating the challenges of introducing a new program to the market or dealing with unexpected construction delays, we didn’t chalk it up to bad luck. Instead, we focused on problem-solving, adapting, and learning from the experience.

Ultimately, I believe that “luck” is less about random chance and more about cultivating a mindset of openness, resilience, and action. It’s about recognizing opportunities when they arise, being prepared to seize them, and learning from the inevitable setbacks along the way. So, while I can point to moments that felt like good or bad luck, I see them more as part of the natural ebb and flow of building a business. The real magic happens when you combine a little bit of perceived luck with a whole lot of hard work and determination.
