Hidden Gems: Meet Bridgette Richard of BEverythingBody

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bridgette Richard.

Bridgette, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up in Houston, Texas. After studying at Sam Houston State University, I headed to New York City as it was a childhood dream to live there. 11 years later, I moved to Los Angeles, where I begin experimenting with body butters due to experiencing adverse skin reactions from climate changes and struggling to find the right moisturizer to repair and restore my skin, finally creating the right formula to heal and restore my skin back to its youthful appearance. Later diagnosed with manic depression while working as a successful auto industry executive for 15 years, I discovered the healing properties of aromatherapy to help me cope with the many demands of the auto Industry to maintain the six-figure income. I then traded in traveling 3 to 4 times a year for investing in retreats for self-discovery, self-love and self-healing. I began to share the body butters as gifts with my travel groups over the course of 10 years. It wasn’t long before many people from my numerous travel groups would reach out and ask for the body butters exclaiming, “It is the only thing that works for my skin,” “It healed my daughter’s eczema.” I left corporate America in search of personal wellness and inner peace: I decided to pursue my passion of creating body butters, combining essential oils for their aromatherapy properties to perfect the proven formula that protects, hydrates, and repairs all skin types. BEverythingBody debunks social media perfection ideals by promoting comfort with the skin you’re in and feeling good from the inside out, utilizing body butters to love on yourself from the outside in.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The main challenge faced with 100% organic skincare is shipping. Due to no added preservatives, when shipping to warmer climates, the body butters can melt. After research and testing, adding Candilila wax instead of Beeswax has proven to be the best solution and has been embraced by many vegan clients. I’ve learned in my third year that a business coach is a wonderful asset to any new business, and I will not consider starting a new business without it. As a creator and being so passionate about the formulas, I learned that I had to shift the focus from working on the business just as much as I worked in the business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am CEO and Founder of BEverythingBody LLC. I enjoy formulating what I like to call the wonder butter. I only formulate from a happy place because energy transmits. Although in today’s world, it may seem impossible, I have created a retreat lifestyle for myself so that every joy is only transmitting inspiration of happiness and most importantly Peace of Mind. Encouraging all to be better with yourself, friends, family, and pets too.

What matters most to you?
I have a passion for holistic wellness and a deep desire for all things that inspire beauty of body and mind. This is what truly made our product line come to life. My mission is to instill a sense of beauty and inner harmony through all-natural skincare and aromatherapy, encouraging all to live a happy and healthy life. I believe it all starts with the mind. The body follows the mind; when one can achieve peace of mind, one becomes successful.
