Today we’d like to introduce you to Bennie Leggett.
Hi Bennie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Bennie Leggett born and raised in South Central Los Angeles owner of Bennie Boys Towing Co and Bennie Boys Auto Sales. Bennie Boys Towing Co was started 5 years ago in the middle of the pandemic I had went out on disability due to Covid and having to take care of my kids after school had shut down. So in invested my last four thousand into the stock market and the rest was history. I was able to learn quick and with the help of a mentor I had I was able to learn fast and with the pandemic and stocks being down I was able to win a lot and was able to cash out on my first tow truck. 5 years later Bennie Boys Autos was born and now here we are.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it hasn’t been a smooth ride I’ve been incarcerated multiple times this last time for 32 months and was release May of 2017. While incarcerated I lost my father so that was tough.
As you know, we’re big fans of Bennie Boys Towing Co. . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business and tow truck company who provide roadside assistance. Has multiple contractors with different companies like AllState, Agero, IAA, Copart and many more. We work with a lot of the low rider car clubs and do a lot for the community as well. Also we have Bennie Boys Auto Sales which started in April of this year where we buy and sales cars to the public since we’ve started we’ve sold over 100 cars and been recognized and award number 1 auto broker in the Florence area.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is when I was in the fifth grade me and another classmate were awarded to attend a banquet with Maxine Waters and got 2 magic mountain tickets I remember me and my dad attended that downtown at the Bonaventure Hotel it was really nice with really nice food and I just remember me and my dad having a good time.
