Hidden Gems: Meet Ana Menendez of Dynamita Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Menendez.

Hi Ana, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m originally from Cordoba, a beautiful city in southern Spain, and I’ve spent more than two decades building my career in Los Angeles. What has always driven me is a combination of curiosity, ambition, and a fascination with bringing extraordinary people together to create something meaningful.

Moving to Hollywood meant navigating a completely new world. I had to build relationships, earn trust, and find my place in an industry where talent matters, but resilience, instinct, and the ability to deliver matter just as much.

Over the years, I’ve worked on more than 300 productions across film, branded entertainment, and international campaigns, collaborating with incredible creative teams and established talent. My film credits include ‘Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend’, ‘The Ritual Killer’ and ‘Find Your Friends’. Those experiences taught me that producing isn’t just about making things happen. It’s about recognizing potential, bringing the right people together, and finding solutions where others might see obstacles.

I founded Dynamita Productions to build something of my own. Today, I’m developing an international slate of feature films connecting Hollywood and Europe, with Spain as our primary production hub. My vision is to bring together compelling stories, exceptional talent, and strategic international partnerships to create films with genuine global potential.

I’m also deeply passionate about emerging technologies, including AI, and how they can transform the entertainment industry when approached ethically. I believe innovation should protect artists, empower creativity, and elevate storytelling, never replace the human imagination that makes it extraordinary.

What excites me most about this chapter is how everything is coming together: my Spanish roots, my Hollywood experience, the relationships I’ve built, and my passion for storytelling and innovation.

I feel like I’m entering one of the most exciting chapters of my career. And in many ways, I’m just getting started.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t think anyone builds a career in Hollywood expecting a smooth ride.

Moving to a different country and finding my place in such a competitive industry came with plenty of challenges. There have been incredible opportunities, but also uncertainty, projects that didn’t move forward, and moments when I had to reinvent myself and rethink my direction.

One of the biggest lessons has been learning to distinguish between a great opportunity and the right opportunity. In this business, your relationships, reputation, and time are everything. Learning when to say no has been just as important as knowing when to say yes.

I’ve also learned that resilience isn’t about pushing harder all the time. Sometimes it’s about stepping back, trusting your instincts, and being willing to change course.

Today, I approach my career with much more clarity about the projects I want to build, the people I want to work with and the value I bring to the table. And I wouldn’t trade that perspective for an easier road.

We’ve been impressed with Dynamita Productions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Dynamita Productions is my Los Angeles-based production company, built around a simple idea: bringing the right people, stories, and resources together to create exceptional work.

We operate at the intersection of film, international production, and emerging technologies, combining creative vision with the business strategy and expertise needed to bring ambitious projects to life.

One of our main priorities is developing a premium slate of international feature films connecting Hollywood and Europe, with Spain as a key production hub. We’re focused on compelling stories, exceptional talent, and strategic partnerships that bring together the strengths of both markets.

Beyond our own projects, Dynamita provides executive production, international production services, and strategic consulting for entertainment and technology companies. We specialize in building teams, managing complex productions and turning creative ambition into successful execution.

What sets us apart is our ability to think creatively, operate strategically and connect people across borders. I believe great production is about more than delivering a project. It’s about building relationships, recognizing opportunities, and creating lasting value.

Ultimately, my vision is to build Dynamita into a trusted international production company that develops its own intellectual property while partnering with exceptional talent and companies around the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy? Honestly, it’s a combination of the simplest things in life and the biggest dreams.

I love being surrounded by people I care about, meaningful conversations, traveling, discovering new cultures, dancing, laughing until my stomach hurts and those little moments when life reminds you how beautiful it can be.

I’m also incredibly happy when I’m creating something, bringing people together, or watching an idea turn into reality. There’s something magical about seeing a group of talented people achieve something none of them could have done alone.

Over the years, I’ve learned that happiness isn’t just about accomplishments or reaching the next milestone. It’s about being present, appreciating how far you’ve come, and finding joy in the journey, even when life doesn’t go exactly as planned.

For me, happiness is freedom: the freedom to create, to love, to explore, to keep growing, and to build a life that feels genuinely my own.

And if there’s music playing, chances are I’m dancing!
