Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Lefebvre.
Hi Ana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My path hasn’t been linear, and that’s what makes it meaningful.
I started in marketing during my very first work-study job in college at 17, while I was pursuing journalism. It wasn’t part of the plan—I was focused on becoming a reporter—but that job opened my eyes to the power of messaging, branding, and understanding what really connects with people. I realized that marketing wasn’t just about selling—it was about storytelling, psychology, and influence.
At the same time, I was earning my degrees in Sociology, Women’s Studies, and Mass Communications. Together, those fields gave me a deeper understanding of culture, identity, media, and how systems shape our lives. That combination has informed every career move I’ve made since.
Later, I worked as a news anchor, and it became one of the most fulfilling roles I’ve ever had. I loved being in front of the camera and connecting with an audience in real time. Even after I moved to Los Angeles and transitioned back into marketing, I realized how much I missed anchoring—that feeling of being a direct voice in the conversation.
Eventually, I moved into full-time consulting and marketing strategy. Still, I felt something was missing in the media landscape—something real, unfiltered, and representative. That’s what led me to launch My Unbounded Life. What started as a digital platform evolved into a full media brand and magazine.
As Editor-in-Chief, I get to combine everything I’ve learned—storytelling, strategy, sociology, and identity—and use it to lead a publication that empowers others to live boldly, think freely, and break away from limiting narratives. That’s the vision behind My Unbounded Life—and it’s what drives everything I do.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building My Unbounded Life from scratch brought its own set of obstacles—balancing creative vision with the business side, carving out a space in a crowded media landscape, and pushing back against expectations about what stories should look like or who they should serve. I’ve also had to learn the business side of the magazine and how to make it work efficiently—from operations to the technical aspects of web management and digital publishing. On top of that, managing this alongside my marketing company means constantly balancing two very different worlds, but I still have that entrepreneurial “oo”—the energy and drive that keeps me pushing forward no matter how complex the juggling act gets.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about this city is its incredible energy and diversity. There’s always something happening—whether it’s a cultural event, a new creative project, or just the mix of people from all walks of life. The city’s vibrant spirit and endless opportunities for connection and expression make it a truly inspiring place to live and work.
What I like least is definitely the traffic. It can be frustrating and time-consuming, making even short trips feel like a challenge. But I think it’s just part of the city’s growing pains—a reminder that we’re in a place people love and want to be, even if the roads don’t always cooperate.
