Hidden Gems: Meet Amanda Rokita of Rokita Law, P.C.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Rokita.

Hi Amanda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Amanda Rokita, and I’m the founder of Rokita Law P.C., a boutique law firm with offices in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach, CA. I am focused on helping individuals and small businesses navigate complex legal challenges with clarity and confidence.

I’ve always been drawn to strategy and problem-solving, especially in high-stakes situations where thoughtful legal guidance can make a real difference. During law school, I spent a summer working for a personal injury firm and also worked at a business/real estate law firm that was one of the first firms working on cannabis licensing where we worked on one of the first medical marijuana cultivation license applications for Desert Hot Springs, one of the first cities in Southern California to legalize large-scale cultivation.

After earning my J.D. from Southwestern Law School, I began working on complex matters early in my career, representing clients in significant multi-million-dollar disputes. Those early experiences shaped how I practice law today—practical, strategic, and tailored to each client’s needs.

Within my first year of practice, I was selected as one of twelve attorneys to participate in the Los Angeles Incubator Consortium Program, which helped lay the groundwork for launching my own firm.

I founded Rokita Law in 2017 with the goal of creating a female-owned and managed law firm that delivers clear, solution-driven advocacy while protecting clients’ assets and long-term interests. I work closely with individuals small business owners and other attorneys to resolve disputes efficiently and move forward with confidence.

I’ve been honored to be recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star each year since 2022, which reflects my commitment to strong advocacy and client service.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building a law firm as a woman in a profession where men still dominate leadership has come with real challenges. While women now make up over half of law students and about 41% of practicing attorneys, men still hold most partnership and senior leadership roles—only about 28% of law firm partners are women, according to the American Bar Association. On top of that, practicing in highly competitive markets like Beverly Hills and Newport Beach means standing out takes constant effort. Those challenges pushed me to be sharper, more strategic, and resilient.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Rokita Law, P.C.?
My firm is Rokita Law, P.C., and it was built with a very intentional focus: providing strategic, business-minded legal representation for clients facing high-stakes disputes. We focus on business litigation, real estate litigation, and trademark law, working primarily with business owners, partners, executives, developers, and investors.

What sets us apart is how closely we align legal strategy and client approach with business realities. Legal disputes don’t happen in a vacuum—they affect operations, relationships, reputations, and long-term growth. Whether we’re handling a partnership dispute, a complex real estate conflict, or protecting a brand through trademark enforcement, our approach is always efficient, solution-driven, and grounded in the client’s broader goals.

With offices in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach, we operate in some of the most competitive markets in the country, and we’re known for handling matters that are complex, sensitive, and financially significant. We don’t take a volume approach. We’re selective, hands-on, and deeply invested in each case.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Rokita Law is known for clarity, strength, and trust. Clients come to us during pivotal moments, and they know they’re getting direct access, honest counsel, and advocacy that’s both assertive and strategic. At its core, Rokita Law exists to protect what our clients have built—and to help them move forward with confidence.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I don’t think of risk as recklessness—I think of it as informed courage. As a woman and a founder, I’ve learned that meaningful growth often requires stepping into uncertainty with preparation and intention.

One of the biggest risks I took was opening a second office in Newport Beach. It’s a highly competitive and prestigious legal market, dominated by well-established firms and seasoned attorneys. Expanding there meant higher costs, intense competition, and proving myself again in a smaller, more insular legal community. It would have been safer to stay in Beverly Hills where I was already well-established—but safety doesn’t always lead to growth.

I approached that decision the same way I approach my legal work: by assessing the landscape honestly, understanding the downside, and trusting my ability to execute. I knew my experience in complex litigation, my results, and my client-first approach would translate, even in a demanding market.

For me, risk-taking isn’t about being fearless—it’s about being thoughtful. Especially for women, risk can feel heavier because the margin for error is often smaller. But I’ve learned that backing yourself, your preparation, and your vision is sometimes the most strategic move you can make. Every meaningful step forward in my career has come from choosing progress over comfort.
