Exploring Life & Business with Yaro Bezgubenko of Sky Power Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yaro Bezgubenko.

Hi Yaro, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I came to the United States more than twenty years ago, arriving alone and leaving my wife, Svetlana, and my daughter, Katya, back home in Kyiv, Ukraine. Those first years were hard. I worked as a security guard, then as a cab driver — whatever it took to build a foundation so my family could join me.

Three years later, when they finally arrived, everything changed. I knew I had to build something better, something stable, something with my own hands. I always wanted to work in a trade, to create real results you can see and touch. That’s when I decided to start my career as an electrician.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The main struggle in the beginning was the language barrier, but I never called my struggles “problems.” I always treated them as challenges. Every day was another chance to learn something new, to push myself, and to prove that I could build a life here. That mindset is what carried me from those early jobs into the trade I wanted — working with my hands, becoming an electrician, and eventually building Sky Power Co. into the business it is today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sky Power Co.?
Sky Power Co. is an established electrical firm specializing in all aspects of electrical work, with a strong emphasis on backup‑power systems including batteries and generators. We employ a team of seasoned electricians who take real pride in quality workmanship and who prioritize safety — for our crew, for our customers, and for every project we touch. Our focus is delivering reliable, code‑compliant power solutions that keep homes and businesses protected when they need it most.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
The good luck came about eleven years ago, when my wife, Svetlana, gave birth to our third child, Evan. That was the moment everything became clear for me. I realized that if I wanted to build a better future for my family, I had to take the next step — to open my own business, to take responsibility, and to create something that would grow alongside us.

That decision became Sky Power Co., and it changed the direction of my life. Through all these years, my wife Svetlana, my daughters Katya and Sophia, and my son Evan have been my greatest support. Everything I’ve built has been for them, and because of them.
