Today we’d like to introduce you to Sergey Shendrik.

Hi Sergey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been an entrepreneur for more than 20 years. Since the age of 24, I’ve been learning how to create value for people. Over that time I’ve built several businesses and successfully sold them. Today I continue to build companies focused on transforming the art auction system and on bringing professional teams together to create generative cinema.

All of my work — both creative and business — is centered in the world of art.

Today I’m developing three projects:

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The main thing to understand is that the path always consists of different human states: enthusiasm, ambition, inspiration — and then exhaustion and loss of hope. When I was 30, I lived through all of these states to the extreme, as if each time were the last, and took them very seriously.

But after 40, I came to a realization: there is no easy road to a dream. It is made of white and black stripes — and that is the rule! Once you accept it as the rule of the game, playing becomes easier. When things get hard, you understand that it’s temporary.

I found a path to a healthy life for the rest of my life. I was lucky to understand why people after 40 often become bored, fall into depression or a creative crisis, and start taking antidepressants.

Our path after 40 must include one essential element: whether you run a business or hold a great position in a corporation, you have to find your purpose and share it with people directly.

Many people believe that happiness and wealth come from building a company or reaching a high position in their career, and then selling the company. They think that a growing bank balance will give them a sense of fulfillment, stability and happiness. But this is a global misconception of modern civilization — and those who manage to recognize it as a false path become truly happy people!

The whole secret is that after 40, a person must learn to realize themselves directly — without a company, without a job, without corporate games. You have to share your experience with people directly and become a mentor. And grow not the amount of money in your account, but the number of people you have helped by sharing your experience and energy.

That is why creativity entered my life: a musical performance in which I tell exactly this story of the human path, helping people recognize their true way.

A person alone cannot achieve anything — that is an illusion.

The more friends you have, the more powerful and successful your path will be. Family and the people close to you are the foundation of success.

I have always been surrounded by friends who help me through life without ever being asked.
