Exploring Life & Business with Sarah Jebreil of Sarah Jebreil DDS Dental Esthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Jebreil.

Hi Sarah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
How I Started and How I Got to Where I Am Today
My journey into dentistry wasn’t exactly a deliberate path—it was more like stumbling into a family legacy that shaped my entire career. Growing up in San Diego, I was immersed in the world of oral health from a young age. My mom was a dental hygienist, and my dad was a dentist, so our home life often revolved around discussions of smiles, procedures, and patient stories. I practically grew up in the dental office, tagging along after school, watching my parents work their magic on patients. It felt natural, almost inevitable, that I’d end up in the field myself, even if I didn’t realize it at the time.
I pursued my undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), where I earned my bachelor’s before heading to the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. UOP’s rigorous program prepared me well, and after graduating with my DDS, I jumped straight into private practice alongside my dad in San Diego. Those early years were a crash course in real-world dentistry. I handled everything from routine check-ups to more complex cases, but it didn’t take long for me to discover my true passion: cosmetic dentistry.
There’s something transformative about cosmetic work—it’s not just about fixing teeth; it’s about enhancing confidence, symmetry, and beauty. I loved how it blended art and science, allowing me to create smiles that perfectly complemented a person’s face. Inspired by this, I decided to become the absolute best cosmetic dentist I could be. That’s when I embarked on the accreditation process with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). It’s a demanding journey involving rigorous exams, case submissions, and peer reviews, but it was worth every effort. In 2015, I became an Accredited Member—one of the youngest to achieve this prestigious designation at the time, joining an elite group of fewer than 400 dentists worldwide. This accreditation profoundly shaped my approach to dentistry, emphasizing excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care.
That same year, 2015, marked another milestone: I started my own practice from scratch in Irvine, conveniently located between Irvine and Newport Beach. Building a boutique-style office focused on cosmetic dentistry and long-term patient relationships was challenging, but incredibly rewarding. Over the past decade, I’ve grown it into a thriving space where patients feel like family. We’ve seen consistent growth, expanding our services while maintaining that personal touch.
My involvement with the AACD didn’t stop at accreditation. I served on the Board of Directors, contributing to the organization’s direction and the future of cosmetic dentistry. Today, I enjoy mentoring new members, sharing insights from my experiences to help them navigate their own paths. I’m also on the board for the Dental Products Report and serve as an ambassador for Spear Dental Education, which keeps me at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies.
Looking ahead, I’m excited about evolving my practice further. I’ve begun incorporating biologic and anti-aging dentistry, focusing on holistic approaches that improve not just smiles but overall well-being. This includes addressing airways to enhance quality of life, using advanced techniques for natural, rejuvenating results. It’s a natural progression from my cosmetic roots, blending anti-aging principles with dental esthetics to help patients look and feel their best.
Reflecting on it all, my dad’s advice rings true: “Never give up on your dreams—persevere.” From those early days in the family office to leading a boutique practice in Newport Beach, it’s been a journey of passion, growth, and transformation. I’m grateful for where I am today, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Sarah Jebreil DDS Dental Esthetics was filled with obstacles. After graduating from UOP Dental School, I realized I knew little about cosmetic dentistry, my true passion. Determined to excel, I poured all my money into advanced courses while tackling the rigorous AACD accreditation process, which I completed in 2015—becoming one of the youngest members to achieve this honor. Only then did I take the leap of starting my practice from scratch in the competitive Newport Beach area. The financial strain was intense—covering equipment, staff, and an office left me stretched thin, with sleepless nights worrying about cash flow. Competing in a saturated market was daunting, and building a patient base took relentless effort. Recently, integrating biologic dentistry has meant mastering new techniques and technology. Betting on myself was a gamble, but overcoming these struggles shaped my thriving practice and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sarah Jebreil DDS Dental Esthetics?
Sarah Jebreil DDS Dental Esthetics is my practice in Newport Beach, California, which I started in 2015 after earning accreditation from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. With a hygienist mother and dentist father, I was immersed in dentistry from a young age, but it was after graduating from UOP Dental School that I discovered my love for cosmetic dentistry—designing natural, confidence-enhancing smiles through porcelain veneers, smile makeovers, and full mouth rehabilitations. We’re known for these personalized transformations, and I’ve recently integrated biologic and anti-aging dentistry, focusing on airway health and sleep apnea treatments to support overall wellness, alongside general care like check-ups and whitening. What sets us apart is our boutique approach; we prioritize time with each patient, ensuring tailored treatments informed by my AACD expertise. I’m most proud of the impact we’ve had on patients’ lives—seeing their confidence soar or health improve—and of giving back through mentoring new AACD members, serving on their Board, and acting as a Spear Education ambassador. We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising that most people who know me or my work at Sarah Jebreil DDS Dental Esthetics might not realize is how deeply critical I am of everything, especially myself. My focus on creating beautiful, natural smiles through cosmetic dentistry—working in microns to achieve perfection—has wired me to scrutinize every detail. This precision drives the quality of my porcelain veneers and smile makeovers, but it’s also a personal challenge. I’m my own toughest critic, constantly analyzing my work, my practice, and even my own growth to ensure I’m meeting the high standards I set. It’s a double-edged sword: it fuels my commitment to excellence and my holistic approach to biologic dentistry, but it can be exhausting to always strive for flawlessness in a field where every micron matters.
