Exploring Life & Business with Milad Mandavi of Accident Center of California

Today we’d like to introduce you to Milad Mandavi.

Hi Milad, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been shaped by persistence, adaptability, and a strong belief in building things the right way.

I moved to the U.S. as a young adult with no shortcuts, just a clear goal to build a meaningful career in healthcare. Like many immigrants, I started from the ground up, balancing school, work, and life while learning a new system, culture, and professional environment. Those early years taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of earning everything through effort rather than entitlement.

I was drawn to chiropractic care because it aligned with how I naturally think about health: treating the root cause, restoring function, and empowering people to heal rather than masking symptoms. After completing my education and clinical training, I worked in different practice settings where I gained hands on experience not only as a doctor, but also in understanding patient care, operations, and the realities of running a practice.

Over time, I realized I wanted to create something of my own, something built on integrity, results, and long-term patient relationships. That vision led me to open my own practice, where I focus heavily on personalized care, evidence based treatment, and clear communication with patients and referring professionals.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t a straight line. There were setbacks, long hours, financial pressure, and moments of uncertainty. But each challenge reinforced my commitment to growth, both professionally and personally. Today, I’m proud of the practice I’m building and the community I serve, and I see this phase not as a destination, but as the foundation for what’s next.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been easy, and for a long time, I felt like I was carrying everything on my own.

Coming to the U.S. and building a life from the ground up taught me early what pressure feels like. There were moments where I was juggling school, work, finances, and personal responsibilities all at once, with no room to slow down. Failure wasn’t an option, but the weight of that mindset can be heavy when you’re living it day after day.

One of the hardest challenges was learning patience, especially with myself. I’ve always been driven and disciplined, but growth doesn’t always move at the pace you want. There were periods where I questioned whether the sacrifices were worth it, or if I was doing “enough,” even when I was giving everything I had.

Opening my own practice brought a new level of responsibility. You’re no longer just responsible for your own success, but for your patients’ trust and outcomes. That pressure forces you to mature quickly. You learn how to make decisions even when you’re tired, uncertain, or uncomfortable, and how to stand by them.

There were also personal sacrifices. Time, relationships, and comfort often took a back seat while I focused on building something meaningful. Those moments weren’t easy, but they clarified my values and taught me what truly matters to me, both as a doctor and as a person.

Looking back, the struggles shaped my mindset more than anything else. They taught me resilience, self-awareness, and the importance of staying grounded no matter how fast life moves. Every challenge refined me, not just professionally, but personally, and I carry those lessons with me into everything I do today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Accident Center of California?
Accident Center of California was created to provide focused, high-quality care for patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents and personal injury cases. The practice specializes in chiropractic care, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and corrective treatment plans tailored specifically to accident related injuries.

What we do goes far beyond short term symptom relief. Our approach is centered on identifying the root cause of injury, restoring proper biomechanics, and guiding patients through a structured recovery process. Treatment plans are individualized and may include chiropractic adjustments, corrective exercises, soft tissue work, and functional rehabilitation always based on objective findings and patient progress.

What sets Accident Center of California apart is the level of attention, precision, and accountability in care. Every patient is evaluated thoroughly, progress is closely monitored, and treatment is adjusted based on real outcomes not templates. We prioritize education as well, ensuring patients understand their injuries, recovery timelines, and the purpose behind every phase of care.

The practice is also known for its professionalism and strong collaboration with attorneys and medical providers. Clear documentation, detailed reporting, and ethical standards are core to how we operate, making the clinic a trusted resource within the personal injury community.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is building a practice that patients and professionals trust. Accident Center of California stands for integrity, consistency, and results. The goal is not volume, it’s quality care, long-term recovery, and helping patients return to their lives stronger and more confident than before their injury.

Ultimately, I want readers to know that this is a patient first practice built on clinical excellence, transparency, and respect for both the people we treat and the professionals we work alongside.

We’re especially proud that many patients who initially come to us due to accident related injuries choose to remain under care even after their cases conclude. That transition from injury-based treatment to voluntary, ongoing care speaks volumes about the quality of our work and the relationships we build with our patients.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe luck alone creates outcomes, but I do believe it creates opportunities. In my experience, what people call “luck” usually shows up when preparation, consistency, and timing meet. I’ve had moments that looked like good luck from the outside, but they were built on years of showing up, making uncomfortable decisions, and staying disciplined when no one was watching.

I’ve also experienced what some might call bad luck, setbacks, delays, and situations that didn’t go as planned. Looking back, many of those moments forced growth, clarity, and resilience that I wouldn’t trade for anything. In business especially, I’ve learned that you can’t control timing or external circumstances, but you can control how prepared you are when opportunity appears.

So for me, luck hasn’t been something I rely on, it’s something I try to be ready for.
