Exploring Life & Business with Eldad Alfi of Zula Den

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eldad Alfi.

Eldad, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Coming out of covid I realized the importance of community stronger than ever before and the lack of cozy safe spaces to commune in Los Angeles over wellness, music and art. This was the big inspiration to open the Zula Den which my wife any I began creating in the summer of 2022.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing is ever a fully smooth road but its all about enjoying the journey and learning along the way to keep improving. Some of the struggles we dealt with and continue to is how to continue increasing the number of attendees to our events. Because its harden than ever these days to get people to commit in advance and to leave the comfort of their homes. So we continue working on increase our reach and growing our community to reach a wider audience.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Zula Den is a non-profit community wellness & arts center located in the neighborhood of West Adams in Los Angeles, California, founded by Eldad Alfi and Chris Santillan. It is dedicated to making wellness more accessible and inclusive, it hosts a variety of offerings such as sound healing, musical showcases, guided meditations, breathwork, and diverse workshops spanning yoga, reiki, and astrology. This community healing space also serves as a venue available for rent for intimate private events, classes, and workshops. What sets this space apart from all other wellness venues in LA is that its backed by a non profit with accessibility and diversity as a top priority. So it’s much more of a community based center than many others. It also has a strong focus to support the musical arts and is considered a conscious music venue with a full stage backline ready for performers. Every quarter it hosts a free wellness day called the Soiree which offers dozens of different healing modalities including one on one services by around 50 facilitators serving over 300 people all for free!

What’s next?
We are planning to expand our offerings outside of the Zula Den itself by sending facilitators out to peoples homes, offices etc so we can help a larger group of people. We are also planning to launch a one on one appointment booking system for bodywork, reiki and other services people will be able to book.
