Today we’d like to introduce you to Destin’ee Browne.
Hi Destin’ee , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Destin’ee Nicole Browne is the Founder and Creative Director of DNB, a Los Angeles-based luxury couture label rooted in craftsmanship, sustainability, and high-fashion elegance.
Browne began designing at age five, teaching herself how to sew by hand by making clothes for her barbie dolls out of old socks, in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia. She went on to study Textile Science at Virginia State University, where her early promise earned her a spot in the senior design showcase as a sophomore. After debuting her first couture collection, Nouveau Riche Sophistiqué, at RVA Fashion Week and presenting at New York Fashion Week, she relocated to Los Angeles in 2018 to earn an advanced degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM).
Now based in Culver City and represented by Annabelle Azadé (WEAR THE FUTURE), Browne’s work spans custom celebrity couture, high-visibility red carpet appearances, international billboard campaigns, and feature press. Her brand stands as a testament to technical excellence, sustainable innovation, and enduring resilience.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any enduring success story, the path to building DNB has been defined by resilience rather than a smooth trajectory. Every setback has served as a critical learning phase, reinforcing the mindset that strategic failure is often a prerequisite for sustainable growth.
Navigating the realities of entrepreneurship has required adapting through shifting business partnerships, operational realignments, and fluctuating revenue cycles. Rather than distracting from the brand’s trajectory, these experiences refined DNB’s standard of excellence—particularly in curating an elite network of models, makeup artists, creative directors, stylists, and photographers aligned with our brand culture.
A key turning point in this evolution was transitioning operations into a larger, premier showroom space in Culver City in partnership with WEAR THE FUTURE. Grounded by unwavering faith and a clear vision, DNB continues to expand, proving that long-term perseverance and operational adaptability are the true catalysts for brand longevity.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
“My journey with DNB is built on the support, mentorship, and talent of extraordinary individuals.
I owe deep gratitude to my early design mentors, David Montoya Phipps and Michael Taylor, who refined my technical craft during my time at Virginia State University and guided me as I transitioned into my graduate studies at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM).
In recent growth, my PR Agent, Annabelle Azadé, has played an integral role in expanding our brand’s reach and securing high-profile opportunities. Visually, our brand identity is brought to life by our core creative team—specifically Ronald Campbell, who has served as our lead house photographer on over 80% of DNB’s shoots since 2020, and Moniquea Payne, our talented house makeup artist.
Above all, I attribute my success and strength to my mother, Nicole Browne, and my grandmother, Jamie Browne. Their love and guidance formed the foundation of who I am today, both personally and professionally.”
